Humboldt Speedway sees 4 new winners

HUMBOLDT, Kansas — In a week where Mother Nature threw everything, she had delivering 10" of rain at the Speedway.  Ryan Whitworth went to work and delivered a fast smooth racing surface that produced 4 new winners.

First up was the Home Savings Bank Factory Stocks. Dallas Joyce had won the last 4 races at the Humboldt Speedway and was looking for win number 5 tonight. In the heat Dylan Allen would just to the early lead and hold off Joyce for the win. Dallas would use his front row starting spot to take the lead at the drop of the green with only a handful of cautions slowing him down. Dylan Allen had worked his way up to second place but could not find a way around Joyce who would go on to take the win. But that's where the drama started a weight was found on the racing surface and during post-race inspection it was found to be off of Dallas Joyce's car which is a DQ. That would hand the win to Dylan Allen and send him to the Pete's Victory lane. Behind Allen the finish was Dallas Joyce, Jason Thurman and Tevyn James.

Up next was the Extrusions Inc Midwest Mods 18 drivers checked in with 2 heat races won by Daryl Drake and Tyler Davis. That set up the nights a main which would see Matt Kay put on the drive of the night. Kay started in row 7 and just before lap 8 Kay took the lead and never looked back to pick up his 2nd win of the season. Behind Kay in the top 5 were Casey Jesseph, Dylan Daniels, Trevor Holman and Kolt Knoblich.

The Wilson Automotive Tuners/Mini Stocks were the next class out. Clint Haigler would make the most of his firt trip to The Humboldt Speedway. Haigler would grab both the heat race and the A feature with Andy Smith, Harley Gaggero, Larry Trester and Tony Bockhover finishing in the top5.

The Rays Metal Depot USRA BMods hit the speedway next. Week one winner Tyler Kidwell would pick heat race and the Battle of the Bullring winner Reece Solander would win heat race 2.  The Feature would see Jacob Ellison and Shadren Turner lead the field to the green. The St. Joseph Mo Turner would take the lead on lap one Tyler Kidwell tried to find a way around but ran out of time as the Checkered flag dropped with Turner making the trip to Pete's Victory lane. Finishing behind Turner and Kidwell was Jon Sheets, Reece Solander and Jake Hodges.

The final class of the night would be the ARMI USRA Modifieds. The heat race wins went to Dan Daniels and Wyatt Gaggero. The feature would see Chase Sigg and Wyatt Gaggero bring them to the green flag. Sigg would take the early lead , but the man on the move was Tyler Davis. Davis worked his way up to the 2nd spot right behind Sigg. Sigg and Davis would battle it out for the top spot with Davis clearing Sigg off of turn 2 and set sail to the checkered flag. Sigg would finish 2nd with last weeks feature winner Huston Johnson 3rd and Gabe Hodges and Brian McGowen filling out the top5.

The Humboldt Speedway will be back in action next Friday May 10th with The Extreme Outlaw Midgets presented by Pete's of Erie Kansas.
