SLMR Late Models plus Added Weekly Racer Purse Money Saturday at CMS

WARRENSBURG, Mo. — Saturday, May 18 marks one of the most anticipated events of the season at Central Missouri Speedway (CMS) as Cliff Harris Auto Group presents the First-Annual Cliff Harris Memorial featuring the Nebraska-based Malvern Bank Super Late Model West Series (SLMR).

This weekend’s event is the fifth-consecutive year for an appearance by the always exciting SLMR racers. Past SLMR winners at CMS include Aaron Marrant, Chad Holladay, Charlie McKenna, and Bill Leighton. This is the first event for the SLMR West group; however, previous SLMR East winners this year include Dylan Thornton and Chad Holladay. Note, mention of driver name does not guarantee race appearance.

Making this weekend’s action even more special is the outstanding contribution of a whopping $5,000 added to the track’s weekly championship divisions, including POWRi Super Stocks, B-Mods, and Midwest Mods, plus unsanctioned CMS Pure Stocks.

The generous contributors list includes Cliff Harris Auto Group, Elite Auto Repair LLC, Get ‘ER Done HVAC, Air Design Heating and Cooling, and Richter Excavating & Plumbing LLC. This event is expected to be one of the biggest of the season at CMS. Drivers not familiar with CMS operations are STRONGLY encouraged to visit the track’s website at www.centralmissourispeedway.net. Once on the page, under the RULES/FORMS link, scroll down to the file titled CMS Good to Know Info. Late Models must park along the south-facing fence or the east-facing tree line only. No late model parking in the middle island please.

Special Event pricing is in effect for this event. ALL pit passes, regardless of age are $40. General Admission Prices:  General Admission - $20, Seniors 65 and Over - $15, Student w/I.D. - $15, Active Military w/I.D. - $15
Kids 6 to 12 - $6, Permanently Confined to Wheelchair – Free.

On Saturday, pit gates officially open at 4:30, followed by grandstand admissions at 5. The driver’s pill draw cutoff to earn passing points is 6:15 (no passing points if the driver is late checking in). The pit meeting takes place at 6:30, followed by practice hot laps at 7:00, with racing to follow at approximately 7:30.

All weekly race drivers must possess a POWRi season membership or purchase a temporary license, available at the time of registration and pill draw, no exceptions.
