Taylor, Bailey, Foote among Bethany Speedway winners
BETHANY, Mo. — After a very short sprinkle the driver's meeting began and cars started entering the track. Only 10-15 minutes of packing set the track up to be smooth and fast all night. One of the best shows start to finish. And the kids bike giveaway was a HUGE success.
Emods took to the track first. #H2K Coleman Browning took the lead early n went on to take the checkered. #11M Lane Mathews finished 2nd. #3 Jared Hillyard, #14H Blake Hayes and #16E Johnny Eads rounded out the top 5.
The Pure Stock class has seen #11j Jake Starmer be in complete control so fat this year. But #15E Eddy Noll took the lead on lap number one n led every lap to the win. Starmer stayed strong with a second place finish. #55T Mich Ross finished 3rd, #11s Tyler Starmer fourth and #19x Bill Munsen fifth.
The Bmod class has seen #6T Michael Taylor III be one of the fastest cars for the last 3 weeks. This week he took it all the way to Vectory Lane. #73 Truman Asher and # 91J Jaylen Wettengel battled back and forth for second with Asher coming out ahead. #66x Chris Wright fourth and #81 Austin Charles fifth.
#7 Shayne Bailey was back to his old ways of leading every lap to the Victory. #5 Tommy Cordray is getting faster with every week and finished second. #33 Paul Glendenning third. #7J Jenna Johnson fourth. #55D Mike Dotson, winner last week, was fifth with a blown motor.
Stock cars always provide exciting racing. The feature started with the top six cars shuffling positions and running three wide. In the end #37 Randy Foote picked up his 3rd straight win and still no worse than second this season. #J211 Derek Brown led much of the feature right on the bottom but fell to second when Foote moved up one lane. #11J Wettengel, doing double duty, finished third. #34x Mich Ross and #0F Mason Beck finished fourth and fifth.
The Compact class provided the closest racing thru the heat races. When the feature started, they kept the close racing going. #5J Jeremy Sims took the lead with #9x Samuel Moore second. Moore moved one lane higher n git beside Sims the second half of the feature. But Sims would hold the point and pick up his first win at Bethany Speedway. Moore was second. #35 Chris Wright finished third, #13U Dylan Bruhn fourth and #48 Cody Rigsby fifth.
Bethany Speedway has decided to cancel the races for June 15th so their weekly drivers can go race the Mike Tanner Memorial. Bethany Speedway will be back in action on July 13th for the Greg Querry Celebration. Which was the biggest single night race in Northwest Missouri last year.
