Parmley, Clancy find Lakeside Speedway victory lane
KANSAS CITY,, Kansas — Lakeside Speedway would like to thank all Fans, Drivers, Crews and staff for a great night of racing action and Family Fun. Special thanks to Chris Crisp for honoring our Troops and America with the singing of our National Anthem. Special thanks to Cash Money Late Models for a great car count and outstanding show.
E-Modified would kick start the evening of exciting racing with heat race winners Chris Dishong #41 and Josh Boyd #9X battling for the front. Dishong would take the lead as both Josh Boyd and #6 Zach Boyd would search for the line on track to challenge. Paul Carter #47 would be in the hunt as well battling the leaders for position with big mover #21 Vic Tranckino using both high and low side to advance. A late race yellow flag would bunch the field giving Josh Boyd the opportunity and he took full advantage on the restart taking the lead. Dishong would fight back along with Zach Boyd as the laps would fade away. Josh Boyd would claim the win and park in Nextran Victory Lane with brother Zach Boyd nipping at his heels finishing a close second. Dishong would come home third with Tranckino fourth- and one-time leader #16 Brian Dultimeier rounding out the night’s top five finishers.
Pure Stock would see #67 Jeff Goepferich Jr and #15 Ed Noll both capture heat race wins and both challenge for the win. Noll would take the early lead with Goepferich challenging every lap as the battle raged behind the leaders. John Snyder #6, Don Marrs #9, #45 Tim Pruett, #712 Geoff Harvey and many more would all make their mark and race fast, clean and hard for the front. Goepferich would challenge late for the lead, but Noll would not be shaken and hold the front as Snyder, Marrs, and Harvey continued to run side by side for position. As the checkers would fly and the battle ceased, Noll would pick up the feature win with Goepferich yet another second-place finish on the 2024 season. Snyder would race his way to another podium finish placing third with Marrs finding the fast way around coming home fourth with Harvey continuing to show speed placing a solid fifth on the night.
Cash Money Late Models would not disappoint as #4A Dustin Atkinson, #82 Jace Parmley, #13B Brandon Baldridge and #49 Andy Bryant would all win their perspective heat races to set the stage for a stellar feature. Parmley would take the lead only to see Bryant charge by as both would not give an inch to the other. Atkinson would challenge as well but not able to take the front as lap traffic came into play for the leaders. Parmley would work traffic to perfection getting by Bryant only to see traffic allow Bryant to regain the lead. Lap after lap the leaders would battle with Parmley again using traffic top perfection taking the top spot from Bryant and this time he would not relinquish the lead. Parmley would pick up the feature win at Lakeside Speedway and celebrate in Mr Dent Victory Lane with Bryant a very close second. Atkinson would join Parmley and Bryant on the podium placing third with #11C Sawyer Crigler ending the feature fourth. Fifth place would see a hard-fought battle with #13B Brandon Baldridge capturing the position.
USRA B-Mods would end the night of incredible racing action with one of the toughest fields of competitors you will ever witness on track. Shadren Turner #56, Chad Clancy #57 and Darrion McLaughlin #38D would all win heat races proving they would put on a show of epic proportion for the fans. Jake Richards #7J would flex his muscle early taking the lead from McLaughlin and Clancy as the two battled for the lead. Clancy would slip from a front row starting spot to third as Turner would move to the second position challenging Richards. Tim Karrick #1K, as always would be in the mix as he and Baltic, SD driver Dustin Kruse #6 would race side by side, never touching for position. Up front, Clancy would work his way past Turner for second position, setting his sights on Richards for the top spot. Clancy would make the move capturing the lead as Turner would follow suit for second. Clancy would see the checkers first and claim his first win of 2024 at Lakeside Speedway and celebrate in Nextran Truck Center Victory Lane. Turner would hold of Richards for second place as Richards
