Turner, Dishong, Noll, Dultmeier score at Lakeside Speedway

KANSAS CITY,, Kansas — Lakeside Speedway would like to thank all Drivers, Crews, Fans and Staff for another great night of racing and family fun. “Mahomes Challenge” still stands at $500 as some were close but not in the barrel as the attempts continued. See everyone Thursday and Friday for the Grant Junghans Memorial.

Pure Stock would kick off the night of supreme racing action with #64 Kaelob Jones, #7 Marshall Jewett and Ed Noll #15 winning their perspective heat races to set the field of competitors. Jones would set the bar high taking the lead early as Jewett and Don Marrs #20X would challenge both high side and low side throughout the feature. Marrs would slip allowing Noll to capitalize and move into third. On a restart Noll would get past a fast Jewett to take over second and set his sights on leader Jones. Jones would lead most of the feature until Noll would get past in the closing laps to claim his 9th feature win of the 2024 racing season at Lakeside Speedway. Jones would impress with a solid second place finish with Jewett third. Marrs would end the feature fourth with the always fast #25 of Tim Billings rounding out the night’s top five.

Heat race winners for E-Modified were #79J Jason Parks, #16 Brian Dultmeier, and Casey Burnett #23J as they roared to the track for their feature. Burnett would waste no time getting out front and appear to be the car to beat early as Dultmeier would fall into second on track. As Burnett and Dultmeier would battle up front, Parks and the fast #21 of Vic Tranckino would race side by side for position. The big mover of the feature was #51 Corey Myers as he would march through the field to challenge late. Dultmeier would run low, Burnett high, with both changing the lead until Dultmeier would take the advantage and the top spot. Brian Dultimeier would not be denied and claim the checkers picking up his first feature win of his career and celebrate in Nextran Truck Center Victory Lane. Parks would race his way to second with Burnett finishing solidly in third. Tranckino would hold off Myers as they would finish fourth and fifth on the night.

USRA Stock Cars would see a quality field of competitors as the #27 team would see Gene Claxton and David Oxford pick up heat race wins. At the drop of the green, Oxford and #16S Chris Dishong would charge to the front and battle side by side for the lead. Dishong would pull to the lead as Oxford would spin in turn three bringing out the caution. On the ensuing restart, Justin Custer #33X would make the move of the race slipping past three cars at once to take over second and challenge Dishong. The #54’s were very strong as Eddie Ingram and Buzz Caster would battle for the front. Dishong would pick up the win with Custer second and Ingram a very close third. Caster would end the feature fourth with the always fast and consistent #27 of Claxton rounding out the night’s top five.

USRA B-Modified as always would be high in number and quality with #1K Tim Karrick and #549 of Patrick Royalty both winning heat races. Karrick would take the lead with Royalty challenging as #56 Shadren Turner would start marching through the field. Turner and Karrick would do battle with Turner taking the lead and slowly pulling away. Turner would pick up the feature win with Karrick second on the night with #6T Michael Taylor III racing his way to a solid third. Fourth and fifth place would see the Clancy Brothers with Stephen #12C fourth and #57 Chad fifth as the checkers fell.
