Davis, Anderson among Lakeside Speedway winners

Kansas City, Kansas — Lakeside Speedway would like to thank all Sponsors, Fans, Crews, Drivers and Staff for another great night of racing action. We look forward to our last regular season race next Friday Night with USRA B-Mods, USRA Stock Cars, E-Mods and Pure Stocks. The spookiness will come out Friday Night as we will have a “Trunk or Treat” on the front stretch at Intermission with drivers passing out candy! Dress in your favorite Halloween Costume as we will have a contest for both kids and adults. Racing action like none other and family fun that is Lakeside Speedway.

E-Modified would set the stage for a great night of racing action at Lakeside Speedway with #16 Brian Dultmeier and #6X Zach Boyd both winning their perspective heat races. Zach Boyd would waste little time charging to the front of the field setting a blistering pace with #9X of Josh Boyd following suite. #41 Chris Dishong would challenge as Dultmeier would be in the mix with Ashton Taylor #18T racing for a top three position. Jason Park #79J would charge to the front and challenge but fade late in the feature. The Boyd Brothers would finish one-two on the night with Zach parking in Nextran Victory Lane and Josh second place. Taylor continues to impress with a solid third place finish on the night holding off fourth place finisher Park with Brian Dultmeier rounding put the night’s top five.

Tim Pruett #46 and Joseph Smith Jr #56 would both win heat races as we would see great racing from green to checkers in Pure Stock. As cars roared to the track, Chase Galvan #0, would have to be push-started on the grid putting him last in the field of tough competitors. On the drop of the green flag Darrion McLaughlin #38D would take the lead with Don Marrs #20X challenging as 2024 Track Champion Ed Noll #15 would start a march to the front. Mike Taylor #6T would also be in the mix for the front early, fading slightly as the race progressed. Pruett would be very fast the entire race battling Marrs and Taylor for position as Chase Galvan would start a charge from the back of the field. Galvan would pick off cars at will and make his way to challenge McLaughlin with a handful of laps remaining and take the front. Galvan would not be denied and move from last to first on this night of competition claiming the checkers in Nextran Truck Center Victory Lane. After post-race inspection Don Marrs was second with Ed Noll third. Fourth would belong to Taylor with Pruett racing his way to place fifth on the night.

Jaylen Wettengel #91J, #7D Danny Holt and Kevin Anderson #417 were all heat race winners in USRA Stock Car setting the starting grid. Anderson #417 would take the lead early with Wettengel and Holt challenging every lap with a fast DJ Barnes #5DJ flexing his muscle as well. Anderson would continue to lead until something would break on the #7D car of Danny Holt taking several competitors from the feature. On the ensuing restart, Anderson again would get a great start pulling away from the field with Barnes on his heels challenging. Justin Custer #33 would be the big mover of the feature and challenge late having a fierce battle with Barnes and #105 of Clint Hedge for position. Anderson would not be denied on this night and park in Nextran Victory Lane celebrating with Family and Friends. Custer would impress racing his way to place second with a very fast Barnes third. Hedge would be challenging at the line to finish fourth with David Oxford #27 racing his damaged machine to round out the night’s top five.

Kerry Davis #68 and Chad Clancy #57 won their heat races as USRA B-Mods would charge to the track. Davis would take the early lead with Chad Clancy challenging as a very fast Nic Bidinger #3B would duel with Clancy. Kyle Henning #1 and #44S Mark Shafman would put on a show for the fans racing side by side the entire race for position. Davis would have to deal with lap traffic and stand on the brakes allowing Bidinger to get a run on the inside. Davis would stand on the throttle and get back by Bidinger to claim his second feature win of 2024 at Lakeside Speedway. Bidinger would impress with a solid second place showing with Clancy third on the night. Fourth would belong to Henning who would edge out Shafman, who would finish fifth, by an eyelash at the line.
