Spencer Joins Jason Meyers Racing for Full time High Limit run
FRESNO, Calif. — Jason Meyers Racing (JMR) is thrilled to announce that Spencer Bayston will be joining their team as a full-time driver for the 2025 season, where he will compete full-time for the High Limit Racing Championship. This signifies that JMR will expand to a two-car team, with Corey Day competing in select races as his commitments to pavement racing allow.
Jason Meyers, the owner of Jason Meyers Racing, expresses, "As Corey progresses in his career, our team understands the significance of participating with a full-time car in the High Limit Racing series. We fully support the series and are excited about their direction. We are delighted to welcome Spencer to our team! This decision was anything but straightforward," Jason Meyers reflected. "We engaged in numerous discussions with part-owner of JMR, Preston Cross and Corey, weighing our options carefully. We explored possibilities with several drivers, but ultimately, Spencer emerged as the perfect match. We all agreed that the synergy between Corey and Spencer as teammates would be exceptional, promising a strong collaboration on and off the track."
Spencer Bayston, the 26-year-old native of Lebanon, Indiana had a standout year in 2022, earning Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year honors, winning twice at Bristol Motor Speedway and Huset's Speedway. In 2021 he earned his first-career win at the Brad Doty Classic, It only took him three more months to win his second, this time at Port Royal Speedway.
Previously, Bayston's career took off in the midget ranks. He was the POWRi National Midget Rookie of the Year in 2014, then upgraded to USAC National Midget Rookie of the Year in 2015. He collected several wins and a career-best Chili Bowl finish of third. His best season was 2017 when he won the USAC National Midget Championship along with the Belleville Midget Nationals and the 4-Crown Nationals.

Corey Day's impressive run in the 2024 High Limit Racing series concluded with 8 wins, and a commendable 6th place finish in the points standings. As the season winds down, Corey looks forward to fulfilling the remaining races on the JMR schedule with determination and enthusiasm. Meanwhile, due to Corey's commitments on asphalt, Spencer is gearing up for his debut event, scheduled for the double-header weekend of October 25-26 at Kern Raceway and Kings Speedway, followed by the World Finals from November 6-9 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
