Persistent Showers, Soft Grounds Cancel Riverside’s Bull Ring Blitz Finale
WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. — With showers hitting West Memphis, AR Saturday afternoon, bringing persistent rain to Riverside International Speedway throughout the afternoon, World of Outlaws NOS Energy Sprint Car and track officials have agreed to cancel the Bull Ring Blitz finale.
The facility’s soft grounds are unable to withstand that amount of rainfall, causing the surface to not be worked into suitable racing conditions in time for Saturday evening’s event, along with parking being unsuitable for teams and fans.
If you purchased a ticket in advance for Saturday at Riverside, you will receive a face-value credit to your MyDirtTickets.com account – good for two years – to be used toward any World of Outlaws event available at WorldofOutlaws.com/tix. If a credit to your account does not work for you, then you have until Nov. 26 to request a refund.
If you purchased a two-day ticket package or two-day pit pass at the track on Friday and wish to receive a refund for Saturday’s portion, the ticket or wristband must be mailed to 7575 West Winds Blvd NW Ste D Concord, NC 28027 in an envelope postmarked by Nov. 26.
The Series now shifts its focus to the final event of the year. The country’s greatest Sprint Car drivers meet with the World of Outlaws CASE Construction Late Models and Super DIRTcar Series Big Block Modifieds at The Dirt Track at Charlotte for the World of Outlaws World Finals (Nov. 6-9). David Gravel currently sits atop the standings in pursuit of his first championship with Carson Macedo in second, 74 markers behind.
