WHEATLAND, Mo. — Lucas Oil Speedway is planning some Open Late Model specials in 2025 to fill openings on the 2025 track schedule.
"We're eager to put together some specials to continue bringing top-quality Late Model racing that drivers and fans have been accustomed to," Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Danny Lorton said. "We believe that everyone will be pleased with what's coming up."
On April 11-12, the speedway will run the 12th annual Spring Nationals with an Open Late Model unified rules package. It will pay $7,000-to-win on Friday, April 11th and $20,000-to-win on Saturday night. The Hickamo Country Store Super Stocks and Show-Me Vintage Racers also will be in action both nights.
The 11th annual Ron Jenkins Memorial will be held Aug. 29-30. Those features will pay $5,000-to-win on Friday and $10,000 on Saturday. It has yet to be determined if the event will be promoted by a series or the speedway. Once again, the Hickamo Country Store Super Stocks and Show-Me Vintage Racers also are scheduled.
A big weekend will return on Oct. 9-11 with the Super Stocks Big Buck 50 Presented by Whitetail Trophy Hunt and Late Model Fall Nationals. Lorton said details are still being worked out for the Late Model portion of that event as to whether a Late Model series or the speedway will promote the action similar to the Spring Nationals in April.
The two other race weekends involving the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series remain as scheduled - the 33rd annual Show-Me 100 May 22-24 with three nights of action plus the 19th annual CMH Diamond Nationals July 11-12. The Super Stocks are scheduled to be on the Diamond Nationals program.
The 2025 Lucas Oil Speedway season is scheduled to fire up March 22nd with March Full Body Madness, after an Open Test and Tune on March 15th.
