Christopher Bell Claims Win with POWRi Outlaw Non-Wing Micros in Southern Illinois Center

DU QUOIN, Ill. — Christopher Bell would be triumphant in his dramatic return to dirt and lead all twenty-five laps in claiming his first feature win of the year with the POWRi Outlaw Non-Wing Micro League at the Southern Illinois Center, in DuQuoin Illinois, after an action packed event in support of the Jr Knepper 55.

Entering a stout field of thirty-eight POWRi Outlaw Non-Wing Micro competitors, Christopher Bell would clock an overall hot lap quick-time with a 9.433-second lap as Jordan Clary, Christopher Bell, Todd Kirkman, Corbin Rueschenberg, and Brant Woods would each earn the heat racing victories as well as Jadyn Friesen and Drew Sherman gaining the night’s semi-feature victory.

Securing the front of the field for all twenty-five laps would find Christopher Bell claiming his first career non-wing micro win in an intense and action-packed twenty-five-lap feature event. Staying close to the lead the whole race would find Parker Leek sticking to finish runner-up from starting second with Kole Kirkman finalizing the podium placements from starting fifth in the grid.

“That race was completely different than the midget one, these micros take a lot to get around the top here and this thing was on a rail with grip for days” said feature dominating winner Christopher Bell in the Southern Illinois Center victory lane ceremonies. Adding, “I definitely have more confidence heading into the Tulsa Expo Center.”

Staying with the contending pack would find Jordan Clary finish fourth as Brant Woods would round out the top-five finishers in the POWRi Outlaw Non-Wing Micro League feature event at Southern Illinois Center in the final feature event of 2024.
