Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing adds Esperion Therapeutics to sponsor lineup

RFK Racing has signed a multi-year deal with Esperion Therapeutics.

The Michigan-based pharmaceutical company will feature two of its cholesterol-lowering treatments on the Nos. 6 and 17 Fords throughout the 2023 season.

NEXLIZET debuts as Brad Keselowski’s sponsor for throughout activities at Daytona International Speedway—including the Daytona 500 on Feb. 19. NEXLETOL will support Chris Buescher’s efforts in a variety of races this year.

“We’re thrilled to have Esperion, a company that is making waves in the pharmaceutical industry, on board with us,” said Steve Newmark, President of RFK Racing. “We look forward to working with Esperion to create engaging content around their two products in NEXLIZET and NEXLETOL and showcasing their debut on the No. 6 for the famed Daytona 500. We’re thankful to the team at Esperion and can’t wait to introduce them to the sport in a big way in 2023.”

Esperion will also serve as the primary sponsor for Keselowski’s No. 6 Ford for the All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro Speedway on May 21, as well as the company’s and RFK’s home track at Michigan on Aug. 6. Buescher will carry the Esperion livery on the No. 17 Ford at Las Vegas on March 5, Martinsville on April 16 and the Martinsville Fall race on Oct. 29.

Buescher is coming off of his first winning Cup season at Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing following his Bristol Night Race win. 2023 kicks off the 30-year-old’s fourth year in the No. 17 Ford.

Keselowski, 38, transitioned to RFK last year after 12 seasons with Team Penske. The 2012 Cup champion is scheduled to make his 500th start this season. Of his 35 Cup wins, his sole Daytona victory came in July 2016.
