KANSAS CITY, Kansas — In December 2019, the Midwest Wingless Racing Association (MWRA) was established with a singular mission: to revitalize local non-wing open-wheel racing in the Kansas City area. As we close this chapter, we are excited to announce new leadership for the MWRA. Brad Wyatt, an accomplished open-wheel competitor, business owner, and devoted family man, will be taking the reins. We are confident in Brad’s vision and leadership to guide the MWRA into a new era.
We also want to express our heartfelt gratitude to Shelby Manthe for her dedication and tireless efforts that contributed so much to the series’ success. Thank you, Shelby, for all you’ve done. Congratulations to Brad as you embark on this exciting new journey!
Looking ahead, the MWRA will transition to a new sanctioning body, POWRi , for the 2025 season. We are thrilled to share that Wholesale Batteries, Inc. will continue as the title sponsor for the Midwest Wingless Racing Association, ensuring stability and support during this transition.
We kindly ask for patience as we navigate this change and prepare for an exciting future of open-wheel racing in the Midwest. Thank you to everyone who has supported and believed in this vision. Together, we look forward to continuing the tradition of exceptional racing.
Thank you for being a part of the MWRA story—past, present, and future.
