MEEKER, Okla. — The 8th Annual Spring Nationals at Red Dirt Raceway kicked off the AmeriFlex Hose & Accessories Oil Capital Racing Series season with an intense night of competition. A strong field of 33 competitors signed in, ready to battle on the red clay oval.
The evening began with four competitive heat races, where Sheldon Barksdale took the win in the Merak Group Heat 1, Kayden Cole topped the Same Day Auto Repair Heat 2, Jake Nail captured the Patriot Lawn and Landscape Heat 3, and Andrew Deal claimed victory in the Kent Fireworks Heat 4. The PuroClean Dash further highlighted the night’s top contenders, with Jake Nail emerging victorious over Tanner Conn, Kayden Cole, Jack Thomas, Noah Harris, and Jason Wilson.
The Hoss Media B-Feature was a fight for the final transfer spots into the main event, with Emilio Hoover, Danny Smith, Connor Lee, Tyler Edwards, Joe Bob Lee, and Gage Laney earning their way into the A-Feature.
The AmeriFlex Hose & Accessories A-Feature proved to be a thrilling and chaotic 30-lap contest, with multiple cautions and red flags slowing the pace. Jake Nail initially led from the pole, but Tanner Conn wasted no time charging to the front, taking over the top spot on lap 4. Conn looked strong, setting a commanding pace until disaster struck on lap 16, forcing him to retire from the race. Nail capitalized on Conn’s misfortune, regaining the lead and never looking back as he drove to victory. Kayden Cole secured the runner-up position, while Andrew Deal worked his way through the field to claim third. Connor Lee finished fourth, and Gage Laney’s impressive drive from deep in the pack to a fifth-place finish earned him the Driven Midwest Hard Charger award, advancing 15 positions.
