Timothy Culp Masters CCSDS March Madness at Springfield Raceway

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) sanctioned the 2025 edition of the Mr. Dent March Madness on Saturday evening at Springfield Raceway with 2019 series champion Timothy Culp claiming his first series victory since 2021.

Culp powered past National Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer Billy Moyer for the lead on the 21st circuit and paced the final fifteen laps to get the win.

“I haven’t raced a whole lot the last couple years, I had a little boy. I wouldn’t change it for nothing,” Culp said. “Just kinda getting emotional cause it takes so much work to get here and people don’t understand how hard these races are to win. We just kinda do this as a family, low budget, we probably got a quarter of what a lot of these guys have in their cars … I can’t wait to get back racing, glad I got another one and anytime you can outrun Billy (Moyer), you know you had a pretty good hot rod.”

Kayden Clatt started the night by setting fast time in Mark Martin Automotive Qualifying before winning the first heat race to earn the NewVisionCustomShirts.com Pole Position for the 35-lap feature.

However, it was fellow front-row-starter Billy Moyer who snagged the lead as the $5,000-to-win finale went green. Moyer held the lead until the third-starting Culp took over the top spot on lap with a slider in turn 3 on lap 21. Once out front the Louisiana native kept the field at bay to take the win by 0.831 seconds over Moyer with Jake Timm, Jon Kirby, and 14th-starting Jon Kirby completing the Top-5 finishers.

For his nine-position improvement in the feature Bagley was awarded the MD3 Bodies Hard Charger Award

With the victory, which was the 11th CCSDS triumph of his career, Timothy Culp took a 25-point lead atop the series standings over Billy Moyer with B.J. Robinson, Jon Kirby, Morgan Bagley, Jon Mitchell, David Breazeale, Kyle Beard, Eli Ross, and Brennon Willard rounding out the current Top 10.

The tour now enjoys a one-week break before resuming action on March 28 – 29 with back-to-back $5,000-to-win events. On Friday, March 28 the tour rolls into Hunt County Raceway (Greenville, Texas) for the first time ever before thundering into Texarkana (Ark.) Speedway on Saturday, March 29.

The CCSDS Super Late Model tire rule for the event is as follows:
Front Tires and Left Rear Tire: NLMT2 (90), NLMT3 (90)
Right Rear Tire: NLMT3 (92)
