WARRENSBURG, Mo. — Central Missouri Speedway (CMS) has long been a track known for not only standing by the true meaning of fantastic stock car racing but by also setting the standard in advocating for logical class rules and payouts. The 2025 season will be no exception to this watermark as Shark Chassis and 405 Performance Fuel, along with owners and promoters Earl and Susan Walls are pleased to announce a purse bump for the class, which in recent years has regained momentum and produced some of the finest racing in recent memory.
Over $700 has been added by the promoters to the already existing respectable purse at the track throughout the finishing positions. In addition, the weekly “to win” money will now be $700 for the main event winner! This could not have been possible without the assistance of Marc Carter and 405 Performance Fuel, who added the extra $100 to the winner’s take. CMS wishes to thank these parties for their generous contribution to stock car racing. The weekly payouts may be found at www.centralmissourispeedway.net, located under the Rules/Forms link, then scroll down to Weekly Payouts.
In other track news, Promoter Earl Walls recently stated, “We are pleased to announce that we are going against the grain and not raising any prices for the 2025 season.” This includes pit pass costs and fan admissions. It is already a struggle for people out there right now and there’s no need to add to that for drivers and fans,” said Walls. One noticeable change for drivers is the fact there will be NO track registration fee, other than weekly pit passes and applicable special event entry fees. Drivers will still be required to complete the necessary track paperwork.
The recent announcement of reserved pit stalls has been met with great success. As of this writing, 50 reserved spots have been claimed by drivers and teams. CMS strongly encourages additional drivers wishing to have a reserved pit stall to contact Sam at 660.909.1083 as soon as possible to secure their spot. Stalls are $100 for the season. Detailed information is available on the main page at www.centralmissourispeedway.net. Payment by check should be made immediately with the name of driver and stall number to the following address: Central Missouri Speedway, 2807 Owens School Road, Independence, MO 64057. The other payment option will be on practice day at CMS, which takes place on Saturday, April 12 from 5 to 8 pm.
For 2025, classes include Unsanctioned B-Mods, Unsanctioned Pure Stocks, plus POWRi Super Stocks and POWRi Midwest Mods. Rules are posted under the Rules/Forms link available on the track’s website at www.centralmissourispeedway.com.
There are open positions to work at the track this season. The first being an experienced live feed camera operator. This person will film the races throughout the night and work closely with the LED display board operator and chief scorers in the infield of the track. The second open position is the LED display board operator. This person should be fluent in basic computer operations, have knowledge of electronics and connectivity expertise. Both of these are paid positions. Contact Sam at 660.909.1083 for additional information.
The schedule includes 20 nights of racing from mid-April to mid-September and kicks off with a practice test and tune session on Saturday, April 12. The regular season kicks off the following Saturday, on April 19. The revised general race rules are also available. The 2025 general rules include several format and program changes, which the track believes will please many drivers and fans.
Additionally, CMS is looking for an organization, club, sorority, fraternity, or school group to commit to trash cleanup for the entire season.
Additionally, the track will return to offering a 50/50 drawing, with a special account for a driver’s point fun at the end of the season. We are looking for an energetic, friendly, and athletic ticket seller who is not afraid to interact with the crowd, dress the part and sell tickets to the fans and drivers to bulk up the points fund. Interested parties in these positions will need to contact Susan Walls at (816) 229-1338, no calls after 8 pm please. The ticket seller will earn a portion of their total sales.
We are still taking sign-ups for a food truck vendor rotation at the track this season. Previously, CMS announced that it would have only basic concessions for the year, mostly drinks and snacks, and that it would make a change to various food vendors for hot menu items.
