Johnson, Bennett, Smith triumph at I-35 Speedway

WINSTON, Mo. — Week 2 of the 2025 season at I-35 Speedway went off without a hitch. Despite some less than stellar forecasts early in the week, (can you ever trust the weatherman in the midwest?) we were able to get the full show in without mother nature raining on our parade.

E-Mods

Tony Layne pulled away from Nathan Hampton to make it two straight wins at I-35 this season.

Sport Compacts

Last year's champion, Brad Mick, also went 2/2 on the season, winning his second feature of the year.

Open Vintage Class

Ron Lefholz led early in the feature until heat winner Mike Lefholz chased him down for the victory.

Pure Stocks

The pure stocks had one of the best races of the night, with Shaun Wirtz passing Clint Baker out of turn four and drag racing to the checkered flaf for his first pure stock win of the year.

B-Mods

The B-Mods were also a great show, with Brayden Bennett, Adam Dunwoodie, Lonnie Hibner, and Corey Myers all battling for the lead throughout the race. Myers surrendered the lead to Bennet, who held off a hard-charging 33D for his first feature win of the year.

USRA Stocks

In a smaller than usual field for the USRA stocks, Randy Smith Jr. pulled away from Travis Walker for his first feature win of the season.

USRA Modifieds

Houston Johnson made it two in a row after winning Friday night in Oklahoma. Lee Hibner kept it interesting throughout the feature, going for the slide job in the final corner but got loose, allowing last week's winner Tyler Hibner to come home second.

Jr. Sport Compacts

Finishing the night was the Jr. Sport Compacts, with Levi Morley holding off Athena Riley for his first feature win of the year.

Thank you to all the fans, drivers, crews, officials, and sponsors for making this all possible. Full results are posted on our Facebook page and on our website, I-35speedway.net.  We’ll see you all next Saturday night!
