Thunderstorms, Flooding Postpone WOO Late Models at Atomic

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Due to continuous rain, thunderstorms and flooding impacting the Chillicothe, OH area this week, officials from the World of Outlaws Late Models, the Valvoline American Late Model Iron Man Series and Atomic Speedway have agreed to postpone this weekend’s Fireball 50.

The decision was made after consultation with Precision Weather Service, keeping the safety of traveling race teams and fans in mind.

Series and track staff are working together on finding a viable date to reschedule the event and more information will be released soon.

Fans who purchased a ticket in advance will be refunded by Atomic Speedway. For more information, visit the track’s website at atomicspeedway.net.

The Series now shifts its focus to next weekend’s Illini 100 at Farmer City Raceway. The event begins with a practice night on Thursday, April 10, before a pair of races for the World of Outlaws Late Models, the Xtreme Outlaw Midget Series presented by Toyota and the MARS Modified Championship on Friday and Saturday, April 11-12.
