Rain Cancels Thursday Portion of Dairyland Showdown, Racing Resumes Friday
FOUNTAIN CITY, Wisc.—Due to continuous rain impacting the Fountain City, WI area on Thursday, officials from the World of Outlaws Real American Beer Late Model Series presented by DIRTVision, USRA Northern Lights Modified Series and Mississippi Thunder Speedway have agreed to cancel the Thursday portion of the Dairyland Showdown.
The decision was made after consultation with Precision Weather Service with the interest of traveling race teams and fans in mind and to ensure the facility is ready for racing on Friday and Saturday.
If you purchased a Thursday ticket in advance online, you will receive a full refund to your original form of payment.
The focus now shifts to Friday, which will see a full program for the World of Outlaws culminating with a $25,000-to-win, $1,500-to-start Feature. Saturday’s finale will be a separate full program featuring a $30,000-to-win, $1,600-to-start main event.
The schedule for Friday and Saturday will see pit gates opening at 2 p.m. and grandstand gates opening at 5 p.m., with Hot Laps beginning at 6 p.m.
