USAC National Sprint Cars returning to Lucas Oil Speedway in September

WHEATLAND, Mo.—For the first time in nearly two decades, the USAC National Sprint Cars are set to return to Lucas Oil Speedway.

The Rod End Supply Diamond Dirt Duel will be held on Saturday, Sept. 6 with a 30-lap feature paying $6,000 to the winner.

“We’re excited to have the USAC National Sprint Cars back for the first time since the year Lucas Oil Speedway opened in 2006,” Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Danny Lorton said. “Open-wheel racing always is a hit with our fans and this should be one that we all will look forward to.”

Logan Seavey of Sutter, Calif., is the defending AMSOIL USAC National Sprint Car champion. In the most-recent points standings in 2025, Seavey is fourth in the championship chase behind points leader Kyle Cummins, runner-up Justin Grant and third-place Daison Pursley.

Other notable names on the circuit include CJ Leary, Jake Swanson and Robert Ballou.

Founded in 1956, the United States Auto Club (USAC) has been a cornerstone of American motorsports for nearly seven decades.

General admission tickets can be purchased online in advance with prices $28 for adults (13 and up), $25 seniors (62 and over) and military, $10 for youth (ages 6-12) with 5-and-under free. Pit passes will be $45 at the pit office the night of event.

Pit gates will open at 3 p.m. with grandstands at 4 p.m. and hot laps at 6:30.

Any support divisions selected to be on the program will be determined at a later date.
