Tyler Stevens Bests COMP Cams Super Dirt Series Bad Boy 98 Opener

LOCUST GROVE, Ark.—The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) Super Late Models invaded Batesville Motor Speedway on Friday evening for the opening round of the Bad Boy 98 weekend, where Tyler Stevens won for the second-straight year.

Stevens dominated all 30 laps to score the $5,000 victory.

"We gambled on tires. We went softer probably the most, which the cautions helped me a bunch there at first and then (I) got in there in the dirty air in that lapped traffic and I kind of got my tires hot," Stevens said. "Adam and Keith back there with some signals. I was trying to ride when I could and press when I needed to, and, luckily we put a full night together."

Tyler Stevens and Joseph Joiner topped prelim action for the 43-car field to earn the front row for the feature. While Stevens paced the field relatively unchallenged throughout the feature, ninth-starting Billy Moyer raced to as high as the second position before settling into a third-place finish behind Stevens and Tony Jackson Jr.

The victory was the seventh CCSDS triumph of Stevens career.
