MWRA-POWRi WAR this Friday night at U.S. 36 Raceway

OSBORN, Mo.—Rainouts at Valley Speedway, US 36 Raceway, and Sweet Springs, over the last month, have stymied the attempt to race for the second time this season in Wholesale Batteries MWRA vs POWRI WAR Challenge Series competition.

This Friday night they try again, as the stars and cars of non winged sprint racing converge at US 36 Raceway for the first time since the end of the 2023 season when Kory Schudy came home first in the Jon Sawyer Racing 28.

On April 12th at Valley Speedway the first ever Wholesale Batteries Challenge Series race was held at the Grain Valley, Missouri, speedplant with (Lone Jack, Mo) chauffeur Jack Wagner taking the win driving the JHR 77 over defending MWRA champ Wyatt Burks of (Topeka, Ks), running the Rumsey/WBR 11w, and (Kearney, Mo) wheelman Brad Wyatt rounding out the podium in the Valor Racing 41.

For the MWRA, this will be their 13th time running at US 36 Raceway since 2020, with eleven of those being points paying races. Burks leads the way with five victories during that time, while Wesley Smith, Cody Baker, and Schudy, have each won two each. And Luke Howard rounds out the victory total by winning the other event at US 36 in Midwest Wingless competition.
