Rico Abreu Edges Brad Sweet in High Limit action at Grandview

BECHTELSVILLE, Pa.—Both Roto-Rooter Midweek Series events have been eerily similar between the oh-so-close photo finishes and Rico Abreu's winning ways.
After being on the offensive end of a stunning 0.101-second victory last Monday at Kokomo Speedway over Justin Peck, this time Rico was on the defensive side of a narrow 0.160-second score on Tuesday at Grandview Speedway ahead of Brad Sweet.
Coming from the outside of row two, Abreu bided his time in the early stages as Christopher Bell controlled the opening nine laps before lap traffic became the deciding factor. The #24 took the point on Lap 10 and survived several restarts and a near last-lap pass to make it back-to-back wins in the Roto-Rooter Midweek Series.
Abreu has won four of the last six Kubota High Limit Racing events - pushing more than $100,000 in earnings over the last month - while extending his total to 16 career trips to Whiskey Myers Victory Lane.
The 0.160-second margin of victory was the fourth-closest in series history behind Sweet vs. McFadden at 34 (0.012), McFadden vs. Sweet at Butler (0.063), and Abreu vs. Peck at Kokomo (0.101).
Championship leader Brad Sweet bounced back from a rough New York outing with a runner-up effort aboard the Kasey Kahne Racing, NAPA Auto Parts #49.
Closing out the podium was Christopher Bell in his second-ever Kubota High Limit Racing event, earning an exciting third-place finish in the iconic Kreitz Racing #69K car.
Rounding out the top-10 at Grandview was Anthony Macri, Aaron Reutzel, Brent Marks, Spencer Bayston, Danny Dietrich, Tyler Courtney, and Tanner Thorson.
