Friday's Bob Weikert Memorial Rained Out at Port Royal Speedway
PORT ROYAL, Pa.—Friday's opening night of the Bob Weikert Memorial has been canceled at Port Royal Speedway.
After completing Dirt Draft Hot Laps, a sizable cell of rain showers hit the Port Royal, Pennsylvania area around 7:30pm. The track crew went to work on the surface, but unfortunately deemed the dirt too far gone for safe, race-able conditions especially considering the late hours and cold temperatures we'd be dealing with.
Any fans who have a one-day wristband from Friday can use it either Saturday or Sunday. Any fans who bought a three-day wristband can mail it to the Port Royal Speedway track office after Sunday to receive a refund from the Friday portion.
Kubota High Limit Racing will try again tomorrow with a much more favorable forecast predicted for "The Speed Palace." More than 40+ Sprint Cars are expected as the Bob Weikert Memorial now becomes a two-day show, culminating with a $75,000-to-win program on Sunday, May 25.
Tickets will be available for purchase at the track. Gates are set to open at 4pm with Hot Laps at 6:15pm.
As always, every lap of the action will be streamed on FloRacing, the exclusive streaming partner of Kubota High Limit Racing. For more information and to subscribe to FloRacing, go to www.floracing.com/highlimit.
