Aaron Marrant scores at Lakeside Speedway

Kansas City, Kansas—Outstanding night at Lakeside Speedway as we got things started by recognizing our Veterans and Active Military for our Freedom. Tim Gifford would deliver the night’s invocation as Brooke Waters performed our National Anthem. Drivers Eddie Ingram and Buz Kaster carried our Nations colors to add to the festivities. Our “Flagkid” was selected during Intermission, given a checkered flag and would be our trophy presenter in all four features with Drivers signing the flag in Nextran Victory Lane.

Pure Stock would roar to the track with a loaded field of competitors as Tim Billings #25 and Don Marrs #20X would both win heat races and grace the front of the field. At the drop of the green flag Marrs would move to the front with Billings dueling very inch of the way with Tim Pruett #46 and the #64 of Kaelob Jones knocking at the door wanting by. Brennan Risley would throw his new to him #31TJ in the mix as well impressing as he was challenging for the front. Marrs and Billings would put on a show for the fans swapping the lead numerous times throughout the feature as Pruett and Jones would do the same for third and fourth place. Marrs would not be denied the feature win and park in Nextran Victory Lane celebrating with friends and family. Billings would settle for second with Pruett winning the family feud by placing third. Jones and Risley would battle to the line with Jones taking fourth as Risley would end the feature a solid fifth place.

E-Modified would see #61 Jeff DeGroot, #88C Colby Burge and #51 Corey Myers all win their heat races setting the stage for a great feature event. Myers seeking his 7th win of 2025 at Lakeside Speedway would take the lead and never look back with Burge chasing. Jason Park #79J and Jeff Goepferich Sr #5J would put on a show swapping positions on track and putting on a fierce battle. Rookie contender Troy Wilson #58W continues to impress racing in the front of the field until contact on track would take him from win contention as he would recover to finish sixth late in the race. Myers would lead every lap of the feature and claim that seventh win of 2025 landing in Nextran Victory Lane as Burge would place second. Third would belong to the always fast and consistent Goepferich with Park racing to finish fourth with DeGroot placing a solid fifth on the night.

USRA Stock Car would see a familiar face in Nextran Victory Lane as Christine Holt #11 and Eddie Ingram #54 would win heat races to start up front. Ingram would take the lead as you could throw a blanket over the top six cars battling for the lead. Holt would challenge with Buz Kaster #54B in the mix as well as he and the always fast Dylan Holt #711 moved through traffic. Always fast Tim Shields #42T would be on the move and in the hunt for the front slicing and dicing his way challenging the leaders. Dishong would make his move late race and time a slide job to perfection taking the lead from Ingram to lead the closing laps. Dishong would pick up win #5 in USRA Stock Cars in the Smith prepared #16S at Lakeside parking in Nextran Victory Lane. Ingram would impress finishing second with Shields coming home in third. Dylan holt would be the big mover racing his way to fourth with Buz Kaster rounding out the night’s top five.

USRA B-Mods would see Kerry Davis #68 and Aaron Marrant #57M win heat races as the loaded field of competitors would roar to the track. Marrant would win the race to turn #1 and get out front quickly as Davis would race back to his door bringing Chad Clancy #57C with him.  Tim Karrick #1K would race hard with Clancy swapping the second spot many times throughout the feature. Current point leader Jon Sheets #8S would be involved in a crash in his heat race and started last in the feature would impress racing through the field. USRA B-Mods would not see the yellow flag going green to checkers with Marrant picking up the feature win. A one, two finish for Team #57 as Clancy would place second and Karrick third. Davis would end the feature fourth with Sheets rounding out the night’s top five finishers.
