Thursday-Friday Portion of Firecracker 100 Canceled; $50,000 Finale on Saturday Still On
SARVER, Pa.—The Thursday and Friday portions of the Firecracker 100 have been canceled. After heavy rain struck Lernerville Speedway during hot laps on Friday, crews were unable to prepare the track for safe competition in a timely manner.
Saturday’s finale will now be a complete program of Dirt Draft Hot Laps, Allstar Performance Time Trials, Heat Races, B-Mains, and the 100-lap, $50,000 to win finale for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series presented by FloRacing.
The RUSH Late Model Series will also compete in a full program for $ 20,000 to win the Bill Emig Memorial presented by Sunoco Race Fuels.
The pit gates will open at 2:00 PM, followed by general admission gates at 3:00 PM. There will be a Dirt Racing Outreach Service at 2:00 PM and a driver’s autograph session from 4:30 PM to 5:15 PM on Saturday. Hot laps will begin at 6:00 PM.
Tickets for the Thursday and Friday portions of the 19th Annual Firecracker 100, presented by Experience Butler County, will be refunded. Lernerville Speedway will announce details regarding refund procedures soon.
