Tiger, Karrick headline Friday action at Lakeside Speedway

Kansas City, Kansas—Lakeside Speedway would kick things off with the talented Gin Dorsey singing our National Anthem as #20S Shali Buck carried our Nations Colors on track.

Four State Late Models would visit Lakeside Speedway with a great car count and impressive racing as their feature would go green to checkers, caution free. The heat race winners were #9 Dustin Tiger, #5V Austin Vincent and #50 Kaeden Cornell setting the front of the field as the feature started. Cornell would take the lead early, setting a blistering pace with the field in chase appearing to be the car to beat until Tiger started to close in and shadow Cornell for the front. Tiger would work his way past Cornell taking over the front as Sawyer Criger #11 would enter the picture and challenge Cornell for the second spot. Criger would make the pass on Cornell and set his sights on Tiger in the closing laps. Criger would try both high side and low side, slider and crossover but could not make a pass stick. Tiger would not be denied and pick up the feature win with Criger a very close second and Cornell fading only slightly to place third.

E-Modifieds would roar to the track as Jeff Goepferich Sr #5J and #6 Zach Boyd would win their heat races to set the stage. Corey Myers #51 seeking win number seven on the 2025 season at Lakeside would pace the field early with Zach Boyd and #79J Jason Park giving chase. Jeff DeGroot #61 would be in the mix until contact with Devin Dultmeier #8 would bring out the yellow flag and restack the field. On the ensuing restart, Park would make a daring move in turn one and take the lead from Myers on a perfectly timed slide job only to see Myers return the favor in turns three and four taking the lead away from Park. Myers would not be denied his seventh feature win and park in Nextran Victory Lane as Zach Boyd would race his way to place second. Park would end the feature third with the always consistent Jeff Goepferich Sr fourth and DeGroot, recovering from an early race mishap, rounding out the night’s top five finishers.

USRA B-Mods would #57 Chad Clancy and #1K Tim Karrick starting on the front row after winning their perspective heat races. The two would race into turn one on the drop of the green flag side by side with Karrick using high side momentum to take the lead. Clancy would mount a charge but Karrick would continue his assault on the field out front. Jon Sheets #8S and Kerry Davis #68 would both work their way to the front along with Jace Boney #18 in his first appearance at Lakeside. Boney would be strong until mechanical issues would force him in the infield and out of win contention. Sheets would work his way past Clancy to challenge late with Davis flexing muscle as well. Karrick would pull away and pick up the feature win celebrating in Nextran Truck Center GMC Victory Lane. Sheets would impress racing to a solid second place showing with Clancy third. Davis would come home in the fourth position as big mover Bill Ruisinger #711 would.
