Shadren Turner takes Tom Wilson Memorial prelim at CMS

WARRENSBURG, Mo.—Shadren Turner started on the pole of the Wehrs Machine & Racing Products Feature and went to work battling with Bobby Williams throughout the 30 laps. Turner led the opening two laps, then Williams took the point. Turner made a move up top to take the lead on lap 16 and picked up his second Heartland Modified Tour win of the 2025 season.
Henry Chambers had an impressive night. He started fifth and was able to battle with Williams for the second spot, his best finish of the 2025 season. Bobby Williams finished third with Dean Wille in fourth. Trevor Hughes rounded out the top five.
Bobby Williams set the Deatherage Opticians Fast Time. Both Dakota Dale and Dustin Hodges moved up nine positions to charge through the field.
Today HMT returns to Central Missouri Speedway in Warrensburg, Missouri for the final night of The Tom Wilson Memorial with more fireworks! Fans can expect a show on and off the track. The Outlaw Kids Racing Tour will be just inside the front gate so bring the family early to get signed up for a pit tour!

Seventy race teams signed in for Night One of the 25th Annual Tom Wilson Memorial on Friday at Central Missouri Speedway (CMS). There were 34 Heartland Modified Tour “A-Mods” making their first-ever CMS appearance. Also on hand were 16 Pure Stocks for their annual $1,000-to-win Track Special, along with 20 Super Stocks.
All total, there were 9 heat races, one B-main, and 3 main events for a total of 13 races, plus a fireworks display to cap off the night. A-Main victories went to Shadren Turner for the Heartland Modified Tour, Derek Lampe for the Pure Stock $1000-to-win special, and Derek Brown in Super Stocks.
The 25th Annual Tom Wilson Memorial race weekend continues Saturday, July 5th, with the second night of action for the Heartland Modified Tour along with Super Stocks, B-Mods, and Midwest Mods, competing for both track points and applicable sanctioning points. Fireworks will follow the races along with a BYOB post-race party, open to everyone, which will be held in the former Pub 13 building with entertainment by Char Bar Karaoke through the night.

Admission information: $20 Adult Gen Adm - Seniors 65 to 74 $15, $6 Kids Ages 6 to 12 - Kids 5 and Under Free. FREE: Seniors 75 and Up - Confined to Wheelchair. All Pit Passes are $40 regardless of age.
