Rain, Severe Weather Threat Cancels Badger 40 Openerat Wilmot
WILMOT, Wisc.—With showers entering the area Friday evening and weather models projecting severe thunderstorms hitting Wilmot Raceway Friday night along with the National Weather Service placing the area under a tornado watch until 11:00pm, World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series and track officials have agreed to cancel night one of the Larry Hillerud Memorial Badger 40 with competitor and fan safety in mind.
Saturday’s finale is still on as scheduled.
If you purchased a ticket in advance for Friday’s race at Wilmot Raceway, you will receive a refund to your original form of payment. If you purchased a ticket to only Friday’s race at Wilmot and would like to switch the ticket to Saturday, contact SLS Promotions at (815) 344-2023.
