Reutzel, Day win Joker's Jackpot prelims at Eldora Speedway

ROSSBURG, Ohio—Kubota High Limit Racing Sprint Cars kicked off a big week at Eldora Speedway on Wednesday night with the Double Down Duels. Following a pair of 25-lap features, it was Aaron Reutzel and Corey Day standing in victory lane at "The Big E."

Aaron Reutzel made his way to the front from his fifth-place starting position to claim the win in the first duel. Reutzel took command of the lead for good following a back-and-forth battle with James McFadden and pulled away on the final restart with two laps to go to score the victory.

Eldora Million winner Logan Schuchart made his way from eighth to claim runner-up honors and Kyle Larson picked off a few positions late in the race to complete the podium.

The second duel was all Corey Day, as the rising star led all 25 laps en route to his first career victory at Eldora Speedway. Defending Joker's Jackpot winner David Gravel charged from eighth to second and Tanner Holmes completed the podium.

Points earned throughout Wednesday night using Eldora Speedway's "Every Lap Matters" point system will be used to determine the lineups for Thursday night's Joker's Jackpot. The top 12 drivers in points following the Double Down Duels will lock into the $100,000-to-win main event.

NOTE:  David Gravel, who finished second in the ninecap, was disqualified in post-race technical inspection after the top wing on his Big Game Motorsports car was determined to be too far forward.
