Thunderstorms, Heavy Rain Cancels Night One of C&D Rigging Summer Nationals
MECHANICSBURG, Pa.—With severe thunderstorms bringing heavy rain to Williams Grove Speedway Friday evening and weather models showing more storms through the night, World of Outlaws NOS Energy Sprint Car Series and track officials have agreed to cancel the C&D Rigging Summer Nationals opener.
If you purchased a ticket in advance for Friday’s Williams Grove Speedway event, you will receive a face-value credit to your MyDirtTickets.com account – good for two years – to be used toward any World of Outlaws event available at WorldofOutlaws.com/tix. If a credit to your account does not work, you have until Aug. 25 to request a refund.
If you purchased a reserved seat at the track and wish to receive a refund, it must be mailed to World Racing Group at 7575 West Winds Blvd NW Ste. D Concord, NC 28027 and postmarked by Aug. 25.
If you purchased a General Admission ticket or pit pass at the track, visit https://www.williamsgrove.com/rainpolicy/ for more information.
The Series now shifts its focus to Saturday’s C&D Rigging Summer Nationals finale at Williams Grove as the World of Outlaws and PA Posse face off for $20,000 and bragging rights. Times for Saturday will shift up an hour, meaning the pit gate will open at 2:00pm ET, the front gate at 4:00pm, and WEDG High Performance Karts Hot Laps will now fire off at 6:00pm.
