Whit Gastineau tops Night 1 of Belleville 305 Nationals

BELLEVILLE, Kansas—Night 1 Recap – 8th Annual Belleville Sprint Car Nationals Rick Salem Memorial

The High Banks of Belleville came alive Friday night as 43 United Rebel Sprint Series competitors took to the track for Night 1 of the prestigious Rick Salem Memorial. With five heat races on tap, fierce competition and high speeds set the tone for an action-packed evening.

Heat Race Winners:

Heat 1: John Carney II led the way, followed closely by Joey Danley and Johnny Boos.

Heat 2: Stuart Snyder picked up the win, with Jordan Knight II and Stephen Richardson completing the top three.

Heat 3: Young gun Ryder LaPlante grabbed the win, trailed by Jeremy Hewish and Tyler Druecke.

Heat 4: Lee Goose Jr. took the checkers, with Jeremy Campbell in second and Justin Fifield third.

Heat 5: Witt Gastineau claimed the win and looked fast early.

The C-Main saw Madison Miller take the victory, while Jeremy Hewish, Don Droud Jr., and Jack Berger all raced their way into the B-Feature.
In the B-Feature, four drivers earned their spots into the night's A-Feature: Kyle Jones, Owen Carlson, Tyler Knight, and John Freeman.

Then came the A-Feature, where the High Banks of Belleville delivered yet again. Witt Gastineau, starting with momentum from his heat win, proved unbeatable in the main event, taking home the Night 1 victory. Joey Danley gave chase all night and secured a strong second-place finish. Lee Goos Jr. landed on the podium in third, with Stephen Richardson finishing fourth and John Carney II rounding out the top five.

With a thrilling first night in the books, fans and teams alike are fired up for what promises to be an even more intense second night at Belleville. So far, the High Banks have not disappointed, and the Rick Salem Memorial is in the books...
