Kyle Jones repeats at Belleville 305 Nationals champ
BELLEVILLE, Kansas—What a night at the Belleville High Banks! The 8th Annual Belleville 305 Nationals - $13,000 to win! gave us one of the most thrilling sprint car races I’ve seen in years. Kyle Jones pulled off a gutsy move on the high side mid race to snatch the win from Joey Danley...
The race was a flat-out barn burner from start to finish. Lee Goos Jr. led a good chunk of the way, looking strong and confident until Jones came storming up the cushion and slipped by with a daring pass. Goos put on a show, no doubt. But once Jones hit his stride, it was all about momentum and precision and he nailed both.
Danley wasn’t giving up anything easy, though. He made Jones earn it, lap after lap, trading lines and battling through lapped traffic. It all came down to a wheel-to-wheel drag race off turn four. The crowd went absolutely nuts when the checkers flew.
Top 3 Finishers:
Kyle Jones – Patience and precision paid off. Charged from 10th and stole the show late.
Joey Danley – Had the car to beat early on, just edged out at the line.
Jeremy Huish – Quiet but strong, locked in another solid finish.
Shoutout to the heat race winners too: Justin Fifield, Brandon Bosma, Jordan Knight, Whit Gastineau, and Owen Carlson. Every single one of them had speed and grit. The whole night was packed with door-to-door action and elbows-up racing, just the way Belleville likes it.
Ryder Laplante stormed through the field to earn hard charger awards starting 24th moving up an impressive 17 spots to finish 7th at the High Banks..
30 laps, high tension, and no breathing room. It’s the kind of race folks will be talking about around here for a long time. If you weren’t at Belleville High Banks this weekend, you missed a classic.
