Impact Signs, Awnings & Wraps Open Wheel Showdown at Lucas Oil Speedway on Saturday

WHEATLAND, MO.—Sprint cars of both the winged and wingless variety will be in the spotlight on Saturday at Lucas Oil Speedway for the 14th annual Impact Signs, Awnings & Wraps Open Wheel Showdown Presented by Heritage Tractor.

There will be a triple header of open-wheel divisions on the oval with the POWRi 410 Wing Outlaw Sprints, POWRi 305 Wing Sprints and POWRi WAR/MWRA Wholesale Batteries Challenge Series.

Pit and spectator gates open at 4 p.m. on Aug. 16 with hot laps at 6 and racing to follow.

Ayrton Gennetten of Versailles, Mo., leads the POWRi 410 Winged championship chase with one win and top-10 finishes in all nine events this season. Joe B. Miller of Millersville, Mo., has two wins and trails Gennetten by 40 points while Noah Gass of Mounds, Okla., remains in the title chase as he’s 150 points behind the lead.

The POWRi WAR Non-Winged Sprints finds Jack Wagner of Lone Jack holding a 70-point lead over Wyatt Burks of Topeka, Kan., in the season championship chase. Wagner has posted three feature wins in four races in 2025.

There are no points listed for the POWRi 305 Winged Sprints as four of the first six events were rained out. 

Pit and spectator gates open at 4 p.m. with hot laps set for 6:30 and racing to follow at approximately 7.

On the Off Road track: Round 4 of UTV Side-by-Side Short Course is set for Friday and Saturday next door on the Lucas Oil Speedway Off Road course.

Practice for the off road competitors is set for 1-3:30 p.m. on Friday with qualifying from 3:50-6 p.m. Gates are set to open at 9 a.m. with drivers’ meeting at noon. All times are tentative. On Saturday, gates open at 9 a.m. with racing set from 10:30 a.m.-12:40 p.m. and 1:30-3:40 p.m.

Off road divisions are Vet NA & Turbo, 700cc, Mini Modified, Women’s NA & Turbo, Mini Limited, Sportsman NA, Pro-Am NA, Sportsman Turbo, Pro NA, Pro-Am Turbo, Youth 1000 and Pro Turbo.

Seniors (62 and up)/Military 2-Day - $49
Youth Ages (6-12) 2-Day - $35
