WARRENSBURG, Mo.—As Earl and Susan Walls wind down a spectacular 31-year career of owning, promoting, and operating Central Missouri Speedway (CMS) in Warrensburg, Missouri, they are looking forward to hosting drivers and fans for one more two-day special event over the Labor Day Weekend this Saturday and Sunday.

This weekend’s racing carries on the tradition of special events held over the Labor Day holiday first started by the Walls in 1998 with a modified special won by Dave Meyer. Since then, a number of classes have competed in various events at the track as summer comes to an end and championship points racing concludes.

Action begins on Saturday, August 30, with Race #18 featuring the 4-State Dirt Late Model Series along with B-Mods, Pure Stocks, and Midwest Mods. Super Stocks will not be in action on Saturday. Track points will be awarded in all divisions, and sanctioning points will be awarded in sanctioned divisions.

Then, on Sunday, August 31, the weekend concludes with Race #19 as Comfort Inn Warrensburg presents the final appearance of late models this season with the 4-State Dirt Late Model Series along with Super Stocks, B-Mods, and IMCA RaceSaver 305 Sprints! Midwest Mods and Pure Stocks will not be racing. This will serve as the final track points earning night in all divisions.

Drivers are reminded that there are NO reserved pit stalls for the weekend as previously announced regarding the big three summer holiday weekends. However, stalls may be pre-marked beginning Saturday morning for Saturday’s event, and Sunday morning for Sunday’s event, with appropriate markers such as brightly colored cones to secure a preferred spot. No Late Model parking in the middle island, you will be asked to move if you park in the middle island with a Late Model in tow!

This weekend’s events are regular payouts in all participating divisions with points on the line as described in this press release.

Having a look at the points in each division as the championship season comes to an end, Blaine Ewing leads the Super Stock standings over Dave Meyer by 18 points. Tim Karrick is on the verge of securing the B-Mod championship as he holds a 90-point lead over Stephen Clancy. In one of the closest battles, David Doelz seeks his first-ever CMS championship in the Pure Stock division with a slim 11-point lead over Chase Galvan. Lastly, David wood heads into the weekend with a 14-point lead over Alex Schultz.
