Chad Clancy victorious at Lakeside Speedway

KANSAS CITY, Kansas—Lakeside Speedway’s night would get started with Lisa Jorden singing our National Anthem as #42 Gene Claxton and #42 Chase Mosby would carry our Nations and States Colors. Special thanks to all Drivers, Fans and Staff that made it a great night of racing. Special thanks to Lisa Burlington and Heather Melvin for the Flagkid’s drawing and making a young person’s dream come true.

Pure Stocks would kick off the night of great racing action with Tim Billings #25 and #46 Tim Pruett winning heat races setting the stage. Billings and Pruett would battle side by side early clean and green as Billings would pull ahead. Mike Taylor #6T, in his first appearance at Lakeside 2025, would move to the front passing Pruett and Billings only to see contact take him high in turn three causing him to lose several positions. Brennan Risley #31, returning from a wrist injury, would make his presence felt challenging up front and putting together a solid feature. Marshall Jewett #7 was the big mover of the feature coming from deep in the field and challenging Billings in the closing laps. Billings would not be denied and park in Nextran Truck Center GMC Victory Lane with Jewett a close second on the night. Risley would impress finishing third with the always fast and consistent Joseph Smith bringing his #56 home in fourth place. Kaelob Jones #64 would start last on the field and charge through the field to salvage a solid night rounding out top five finishers.

E-Modifieds would see the Silver Lake Outlaws dominate as Josh Boyd #9X and Zach Boyd #6 would win heat races and give notice to the rest of the field. Zach Boyd would take the lead and set the cruise control as younger brother Josh, would slide into second place and give chase. Jason Park #79J would challenge and as always have a very fast car as he and Jeff Goepferich Sr #5J would do battle for position. Jaylen Wettengel, hired gun in #8X, would put on a show racing the leaders and get all from the car it would produce. Zach Boyd would continue his assault on the field as big mover Brian Dultmeier #16 would make his way through the field in closing laps. Zach Boyd would take the win with a one-two finish for the Brothers as Josh Boyd would cross the line second and both would celebrate in Nextran Truck Center GMC Victory Lane. Park would again have a solid finish placing third with Wettengel fourth and Dultmeier fifth.

USRA Stock Cars would see two veteran drivers win heat races in Chris Dishong #16S and #42 Gene Claxton pacing a field of tough competitors. As the green flag would fly on the feature, #7 Shayne Bailey, would slice and dice in turn number one and two coming out with the lead. Dishing and Justin Seifert #37 would challenge along with a very fast Randy Foote #37. Bailey would lead until a flat tire would take him from the race and out of win contention. Foote would make the move on Dishong and take the lead as the rest of the field gave chase. Foote, one of the greats of our sport that has driven and won in about every type of race car, would run a near flawless feature holding off the challenges of Dishong. Foote would park in Nextran Truck Center GMC Victory Lane as Dishong would finish second on the night. Seifert continues to impress as he would place third with Wettengel a solid fourth in a back up car. Dylan Holt, driving #11, would be in the mix all race and round out our night’s top five finishers.

USRA B-Mods never disappoint at #1 Kyle Henning and #1K Tim Karrick would win heat races and start up front at feature time. Karrick and Henning would battle side by side for the lead as Karrick would claim the spot. Chad Clancy #57 would race Henning for second taking the spot and setting his sights on Karrick. Karrick would lead until mechanical issues would cause him to exit the speedway, ending his night and chances of victory. Clancy would take the lead with Henning and John Baker #311 racing for second. Big mover of the race was Mark Shafman #44S as he would start last on the field after missing his heat race and make his way to the front. Clancy would get the win for Team #57 Parking in Nextran Victory Lane with Henning a solid second and Schafman third. Baker would finish fourth with Eric Spreer #214 ending the night’s racing action fifth.
