Heavy Rain Cancels Huset’s Shootout Opener

BRANDON, S.D.—With heavy rainfall hitting Huset’s Speedway Saturday afternoon and weather models showing continued showers through the evening, World of Outlaws NOS Energy Sprint Car and track officials have agreed to cancel night one of the L.G. Everist Huset’s Shootout presented by Ace Ready Mix and Myrl & Roy’s Paving.

If you purchased a ticket to Saturday’s race in advance, you will be refunded to your original form of payment within seven business days. If you purchased a ticket at the track, the ticket must be mailed to Huset’s Speedway at PO Box 731 Brandon, SD 57005 for a refund. If you purchased a pit pass at the track, the pit pass can be used for Sunday’s race. If you purchased a pit pass at the track and can’t make it Sunday, the pit pass must be mailed to Huset’s Speedway at PO Box 731 Brandon, SD 57005 for a refund.

Sunday’s $25,000-to-win Huset’s Shootout finale is still on as scheduled and features a complete racing program for the World of Outlaws. For tickets, CLICK HERE.

David Gravel holds a 172-point advantage over Michael “Buddy” Kofoid atop the standings as he chases a second consecutive championship. Carson Macedo is third with Logan Schuchart and Sheldon Haudenschild completing the top five.
