Aaron Reutzel back to victory lane after nearly two-month layoff from broken foot

PORT ROYAL, Pa.—A broken leg at Eldora just over a month ago for Aaron Reutzel took him out of the seat of the Ridge & Son's Racing number 87 for an extended period. He returned to the seat of the car on Thursday night and made the A-main event. On Friday night, he would park his ride in Whiskey Meyers Kish Bank victory lane over a stout field of 52 sprint cars.

Aaron Reutzel and Ryan Smith were the two cars on the front row of the 25 lap A-main event on Friday night. Once the green flag dropped, it was Parker Price Miller who would jump to the lead who started in third.

Price Miller would use the bottom side of the first corner to pass both Smith and Reutzel to take the lead on the opening lap, with Reutzel following him closely behind.

Reutzel would attempt a sliding pass for the lead on lap two in turns one and two, but Price Miller was able to turn his car to Reutzel's inside and pass him back for the top spot down the back straightaway.

Price Miller would continue to lead until Reutzel could reel him back in, passing him on the bottom side of the race track off of the fourth corner with just sixteen laps remaining.

The top five cars with the race half completed were Aaron Reutzel, Parker Price Miller, Brent Marks, Anthony Macri, and Ryan Smith as they were all within a 1.5 second margin of each other.

Marks and Price Miller would battle for the runner up spot with twelve laps remaining, and their battle allowed Macri to pass by both of them at the start finish line and heading into turn one.

While the battles for second through fifth were competitive, Reutzel was able to build a strong enough lead to go on to win the $10,000 A-main with Anthony Macri finishing in second and Brent Marks rounding out the top three.

For the Zimmerman Truck Repair limited late models, Lane Snook would take the lead with 6 laps remaining from Spike Moore to go on to win his fourth race at the race track in 2025.

Moore would lead the opening 13 laps of the race with Snook running in second and Jaxton Garmin and Brad McGinnis battling for the third position.

With 7 laps remaining, Snook would use the middle lane of the corners to pass Moore to the outside for the lead coming to the line with 6 to go.

Snook would hold on and not look back with Moore and Garmin rounding out the top three.

The win further cemented Snook as a 2025 track champion in limited late model competition.

Port Royal Speedway will be back in action on Saturday night for the 58th Annual Tuscarora 50 with Kubota High Limit Racing sponsored by Packer's Concession and presented by Ramsey's Car Wash.

The main event will be $58,000 to the winner and will pay $2,000 to start the track's 50 lap crown jewel event.
