Sabo gets 410 win at Attica, Henry clinches title
ATTICA, Ohio—Zeth Sabo has been so close to winning a 410 sprint car feature in 2025 only to see some mechanical issues or some bizarre circumstance get in the way. The Tiffin, Ohio driver was able to put together a very solid night Friday, Sept. 5, at Attica Raceway Park to score his third career win at the track on Ferguson Waterworks/Kistler Racing Products/Custom Chrome Plating Presents the Mark Keegan Classic.
It looked like Kasey Jedrzejek, fresh off his first All Star Circuit of Champions win on Aug. 31 at Wayne County Speedway, was going to get his first 410 sprint win of the year at Attica as he led the first 16 laps. A flat front tire sent him to the pits and handed the lead to Sabo, who had stayed within striking distance the first half of the race. Sabo, aboard his Level Utilities/NAPA Auto Parts/Limo Scene Limo Services/Kiser Sound/Valvoline/Linder’s Speed Equipment/Adaptive OWE/BSE Fabrication backed machine, had to hold off a late race challenge in lapped traffic from Cap Henry and claimed an additional $1,000 bonus for claiming the bounty on Henry.
“I can’t thank my guys enough. We’ve been busting tail lately and just weird things have happened that we’ve never had happen before. I have to thank Rich and Shelly Farmer for letting me do what I’ve always wanted to do and letting all of us go the races every weekend. To do this on the last night of the year at Attica on the Mark Keegan Classic is pretty cool,” said Sabo.
Henry, who won the last four features in a row at Attica, settled for second and claimed his third straight Callie’s Performance Products 410 Sprint track title, his fourth overall at the track. Craig Mintz, Trey Jacobs and Mike Keegan rounded out the top five.
“I really wanted to win that race. We’ve never won the Mark Keegan Classic. I’m proud of my guys. It’s been a really good year. Minus the Outlaw shows we had a 100 percent podium rate here,” said Henry.
Henry’s runner-up finish wrapped up his third straight and fourth overall championship in the Kistler Racing Products/All Pro Aluminum Cylinder Heads Attica Fremont Championship Series Presented by the Baumann Auto Group and its $10,000 top prize.
Ken Hahn led the first two laps of the Dirt Nerds Podcast Powered by Propane UMP Late Model feature before Mike Bores took over for two laps surrendering the lead to Devin Shiels on lap six with fourth starter Kyle Moore taking over the lead on lap seven.
Moore battled Shiels for a hand full of laps before pulling away to score his fifth Attica win of 2025 aboard his Kepling Flooring, Tye Tworg Longhorn, Joyride Transportation, Smitley Towing, Short Stop, Malcuit Race Engines, Wilson Realty, Robin Jakubick, RL Bond Septic, Hepthorn Golf Cart Sales, House of Spud, K&B Septic Service, Coffman Composites, Team Midwest Paint, Platinum Design backed #1*. His 11th career win at Attica brings his total feature win tally to 19 overall in 2025 and came over Shiels, Ryan Markham, JR Gentry and Gregg Haskell.
Moore earned his second straight Attica late model championship as well.
“This is a great facility. The fans are the best and thanks to Justin Liskai and the Bores family for being stand-up people. They went to bat for me this week and I appreciate it. Without Justin and John Bores I wouldn’t have been here tonight. There’s some stuff going on behind the scenes and it will take care of itself. I want to thank my crew, my brother Brad, Froggy, Barry, Team Skinny, my family and everyone on this car,” said Moore.
Jedrzejek got a little redemption in the Fremont Fence 305 A-main, leading all 25 laps for his fifth career division win at Attica. Dustin Stroup, Blayne Keckler (from 11th), Jimmy McGrath (from 18th) and Seth Schneider rounded out the top five.
“Jimmy (Taddeo, car owner) brings the best stuff to the track and gives us the best chance every time we come out with this car,” said Jedrzejek beside his Greber Racing Components, KMU Residential, UD Maintenance, John Wright Custom Chrome, Ronda Jedrzejek at Howard Hanna, Heat Star, Mr. Heater, Fisher Custom Printing, Northern Ohio Septic and Sewer, A+Creations, Amherst Auto Body backed #4T.
Schneider, from Fremont, earned his first ever Attica track championship.
“I slowed up and didn’t take any chances the last part of that race…I didn’t want to screw up. This track championship means a lot. I was pretty much garbage for about two to three seasons in a row coming into this season and I have to thank my wife…she could have told me to quit. Kevin put a lot of effort and money into this car and it’s been bad ass. Aaron Hammer and Guy Myers put a lot of effort into this car and it’s been pretty awesome,” said Schneider.
Jamie Miller was scheduled to start on the pole for the feature but mechanical issues forced him to the tail and he charged to a ninth place finish. However, the points battle for the Real Geese/Design Graphics Group/ Real Capz Attica Fremont Championship Series for the 305 sprints will now come down to Saturday, Sept. 6 at Fremont Speedway.
The staff at Attica Raceway Park thanks all the fans, race teams and marketing partners for another fantastic year of racing and looks for to March 2026 to do it all again.
