KANSAS CITY, Kansas—The Janet Billings Memorial at Lakeside would get started with Falcon Skydivers landing in the infield with precision and skill impressing all in attendance. Tim Gifford would then offer our Invocation and Lisa Jorden would honor our Troops and America with the singing of our National Anthem. Lakeside Speedway would like to thank all Fans, Drivers, Crews, Staff and the Billings Family for such a special night. This being the last Janet Billings Memorial made the night even more special and heartfelt with Pure Stock Driver Introductions and a presentation of a helmet signed by all Drivers and presented to Donnie and Gail Billings. Special night for a special person, May Janet’s memory live forever.

Vintage would kick the features off for the Janet Billings Memorial as Owen Evinger #18 would sweep the night winning both heat race and feature beating all competition. Don Marrs #00K would take the lead on the drop of the green flag leading until slipping high in turn two allowing both Evinger and Jim Thorne #113 to both to get past. Mark Evinger #19 and Larry Waters #54 were in the mix until mechanical issue would plague Waters sending him to the pits early and tightening the points battle between he and Marrs. Owen Evinger would take the win, Thorne second and Marrs third. Mark Evinger would place a solid fourth with the always present #54X of Darrin Christy rounding out the night’s top five finishers.

E-Modifieds would be the next to try and conquer the fast four tenth’s mile of dirt as Corey Myers #51, Jeff Degroot #61 and Brian Dultmeier #16 would all win heat races to set the stage. Brian Dultmeier would take the lead early setting a blistering pace for the field to follow as Myers and Degroot would battle for position. Vic Tranckino #21 was fast from the drop of the green and moving to second challenging Dultmeier in the closing laps. A hard crash on lap one would take a couple of very good cars from the feature as drivers did walk away as safety equipment would do their job. Brian Dultmeier would capture his first win of 2025 parking in Nextran Truck Center GMC Victory Lane celebrating with Friends and Family. Tranckino would impress finishing second with another good points night for Myers placing third. Fourth would see #8 Devin Dultmeier as Degroot would cross the line with another top five finish.

As Pure Stocks pulled to the racing surface, Janet Billings Spirit could be felt as Driver Introductions were completed and the line up set. All Drivers were poised to make that attempt to win this final Memorial Race in honor of Janet as #20X Don Marrs, #43 JR Billngs and Chase Galvan #0 would win their perspective heat races. Marrs and JR Billing would start on the front row as JR Billing would lead until Cousin Tim Billings #25 would take the front. Chase Galvan would mount a charge and get past Tim Billings only to see caution come out and move him back to second. On the restart, Tim Billings would again take the front as a puff of smoke would come from Galvan’s #0 sending him to the infield ending his night. Tim Billings would continue to lead holding off the challenges of a strong point leader Marshall Jewett #7, Marrs and big mover of the feature #56 Joseph Smith Jr.. Tim Billings would not be denied and make his mark winning the final Janet Billings Memorial celebrating in Nextran Truck Center GMC Victory Lane with the entire Billings Family. As Billings celebrated the win, Jewett would place second with Marrs third and Smith fourth as JR Billings would fade slightly ending the feature fifth.

As USRA Stock Cars would roar to the track, Justin Seifert #37 and Jason Newman #111 would set the stage for the feature by both winning heat races. Newman was fast and took the lead on the drop of the green setting the pace for the field of contenders to follow with Seifert, a close second, as #54 Buz Kaster and #91J Jaylen Wettengel were in the mix. Newman would continue to lead running to perfection on the high side of the track. Chris Dishong #16S was the big mover of the race challenging in the closing laps as he and Wettengel would run side by side lap after lap for position. Newman would handle all restarts to perfection and pick up his first ever feature win parking and celebrating in Nextran Truck Center GMC Victory Lane. Seifert would place a solid second with Dishong Third and Wettengel fourth. Hall of Famer Kaster would cross the line claiming yet another top five finish.

USRA B-Mods would see a loaded field of competitors as Kyle Henning #1, Eric Spreer #214 and Tim Karrick #1K would win heat races landing both #1 cars on the front row for the feature. Henning would take the lead at the drop of the green using the high line to perfection until Karrick would use a perfectly timed slide job to take the front. Karrick would lead with Henning second until #57 of Chad Clancy would mount a charge and move to the second position getting past Henning. John Baker #311 was fast the entire feature racing his way through the pack battling Kerry Davis #68 for position as the race progressed. As the checkers would fly in a caution free feature to close out the night, Karrick would again park in Nextran Truck Center GMC Victory Lane with Clancy second and Henning third. Baker would cross the line in fourth with the always consistent and fast Davis finishing fifth on the night.
