Derek Brown closes out Walls era at Central Missouri Speedway

WARRENSBURG, Mo.—The Earl and Susan Walls 31-year tenure at the helm of Central Missouri Speedway (CMS) ended on Saturday during the running of the fifth-annual running of the Hog Roast Nationals presented by Midwest Coatings, Inc.

A total of 94 race teams signed in to compete one last time at the speedway. The night was highlighted by the $3,000-to-win, 31-lap Super Stock main event, in which Derek Brown advanced from eighth on the starting grid to claim the victory on what he said in victory lane to Earl Walls, “this is how a track is supposed to be at the end of the night.”

Brown’s words were echoed by many drivers and the ultra-racy track provided by Todd Johnson, Brandon Walls, and Jake McCollum as they worked hard to ensure the four CMS main events would lead to memorable racing.

Colson Kirk returned to CMS victory lane by claiming a thriller over Tim Karrick and Chad Clancy that went right to the wire. Chase Galvan racked up his track leading tenth win on the season, while Brian Meyer claimed his second-ever CMS win in another close race to secure the Midwest Mods victory.

The top drivers of the year were recognized following the nights races at the annual Hog Roast. We will have a full recap of the year’s top performances in next week’s press release. Complete results from 9/13/25 are shown below.
