Starting times moved up one hour for Hockett-McMillin final night

WHEATLAND, MO.—Starting times have been moved up on hour for Saturday's finale night of the 15th annual Jesse Hockett-Daniel McMillin Memorial at Lucas Oil Speedway.

POWRi and Lucas Oil Speedway officials moved the starting time earlier to try and stay ahead of possible weather conditions.


Updated times:

Pits open - 3 p.m.
Grandstands open - 4 p.m.
Driver registration - 3:15-4:30 p.m.
Drivers' meeting - 4:45 p.m.
Engine heat - 5 p.m.
Hot laps - 5:30 p.m.

On Friday night, Clinton Boyles rolled to victory in the POWRi 410 Outlaw Sprint portion of the program with Riley Kreisel prevailing in the POWRi WAR main event. Another complete program including qualifying, heat races, semi-features and championship features is set for Saturday night.

The Hockett-McMillin Memorial recognizes the legacy of Jesse Hockett, from Warsaw, Mo., who was a star in both the winged and non-wing sprint divisions when he lost his life in a shop accident in 2010. His cousin and crew chief, Daniel McMillin, was killed in an automobile accident in 2006.
