WHEATLAND, MO.—With the Kubota High Limit Racing season championship coming down to the wire, Lucas Oil Speedway will play a key role in determining the title when the 410 Winged Sprints return to Wheatland on Wednesday night for the Roto Rooter Midweek Series.

The 49th of 51 series stops will find Rico Abreu of St. Helena, California, clinging to a 30-point lead over Brad Sweet of Grass Valley, California, in the High Limit Series title standings for both the drivers and owners, which is worth $250,000 to win. Abreu has a series-best 11 feature wins in 48 series starts this season.

Sweet ended a streak of 28 winless races with a victory on Saturday at Lakeside Speedway, keeping him in the hunt for the title.

The 2025 Kubota High Limit Racing season concludes with the Championship Weekend at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas on Friday and Saturday.

Kubota High Limit Racing Championship Standings:

1  Rico Abreu 2,707
2  Brad Sweet 2,677
3  Brent Marks 2,526
4  Justin Peck 2,462

7  Daison Pursley 2,127
8  Brenham Crouch 1,944

Sweet’s Kasey Kahne Racing No. 49 is also 10-points behind the Ridge & Sons Racing No. 87 of Aaron Reuther for second in the owner fight, which is a vital position in determining the 2026 and 2027 franchise system with Kubota High Limit Racing.

Aaron Reutzel, Rico Abreu and Tyler Courtney won features at the three-night Kubota High Limit Diamond Classic in Wheatland, June 26-28. Sweet captured the Midweek race at Lucas Oil Speedway last October, part of his season championship with the series.
