USMTS Season Finale at Lakeside and 81 Canceled, 2025 Season Officially Complete
KANSAS CITY, Kansas—With the expected weather forecast for this weekend, the Summit USMTS events at Lakeside Speedway and 81 Speedway have been canceled. Additionally, the scheduled event at Hot Speedway has also been canceled following the passing of promoter Jerry Fredrych.
With these cancellations, the 2025 Summit USMTS season is officially complete.
The United States Modified Touring Series extends heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Jerry Fredrych, and our appreciation to all the drivers, teams, tracks, sponsors, and fans who supported the series throughout an incredible 2025 season.
We also extend a huge congratulations to Rodney Sanders, who captured his sixth USMTS National Championship, and to Joe Chisholm, the 2025 Grant Junghans USMTS Rookie of the Year. Both drivers showcased exceptional talent and determination throughout the season.
The 2025 USMTS Awards Banquet will be held Saturday, January 24th at the Ameristar Casino in Kansas City, Missouri.
