Lucas Oil Speedway unveils Pitts Homes and Realty Challenge Cup for 2026 season

WHEATLAND, MO.—Lucas Oil Speedway’s five core racing divisions will have a new twist for 2026 with the introduction of the “Pitts Homes and Realty Challenge Cup.”

The Challenge Cup will feature the five classes that have run during “weekly” competition in previous years. Each class will have 10 points races between April 10th and Aug. 29 with a number of other events to be run as non-points events. All 10 Challenge Cup events for each series will have elevated nightly purses. Year-end points payouts also will be boosted.

The five classes will consist of the Hermitage Lumber Late Models, Arctic Food Equipment Modifieds, Clear Creek Golf Car B-Mods, O’Reilly Auto Parts Stock Cars and Hickamo Super Stocks.

Challenge Cup Round One is set for April 25th with Round Two on June 20th, Round 3 July 18th and Challenge Cup Championship Weekend Aug. 28-29. Each class will also have points nights as part of larger events during the 2026 season.

Challenge Cup payouts for Late Models and Modifieds: 1 - $1,000. 2 - $650. 3 - $550. 4 - $450. 5 - $400. 6 - $350. 7 - $300. 8 - $250. 9 - $225. 10 - $200. 11 - $350. 12 - $145. 13 - $135. 14 - $125. 15-22nd - $125.

Challenge Cup payout for B-Mods, Stock Cars and Super Stocks: 1 - $750. 2 - $450. 3 - $350. 4 - $300. 5 - $250. 6 - $200. 7 - $175. 8 - $160. 9 - $150. 10 - $140. 11 - $130. 12 - $120. 13 - $110. 14-22nd - $100.

2026 Points Payouts for Late Models and Modified: 1 - $2,000 (plus $1,000 in Lucas Oil Products). 2 - $1,200 (plus 750 in Lucas Oil Products). 3 - $900 (plus 500 in Lucas Oil Products). 4 - $800. 5 - $700. 6 - $600. 7 - $575. 8 - $550. 9 - $525. 10 - $500.

2026 Points Payouts for B-Mods, Stock Cars and Super Stocks: 1 - $1,500 (plus $1,000 in Lucas Oil Products). 2 - $1,000 (plus $750 in Lucas Oil Products). 3 - $750 (plus $500 in Lucas Oil Products). 4 - $700. 5 - $600. 6 - $550. 7 - $525. 8-10th - $500.

"We are excited to raise the stakes for these divisions in 2026. Larger purses, larger points fund, and racing on a bigger stage," Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Casey Shuman said of the Challenge Cup Series.

The full 2026 Lucas Oil Speedway schedule will be released in coming weeks. Recently, the speedway and POWRi announced the new four-race “Road to the Hockett,” mini-series featuring the POWRi WAR/MWRA Challenge Series, POWRi Honest Abe Roofing 410 Outlaw Sprints and POWRi IMCA RaceSaver 305 Wing Sprints.

This series races - May 16, June 27, Aug. 1 and Aug. 22 - will serve as a prelude to September’s grand finale, offering its own points fund and a champion’s provisional into the 2026 Hockett–McMillin Memorial, set for September 17–19.
