Super DIRT Week 54, New Venues Highlight Jam-Packed DIRTcar Northeast Schedules

CONCORD, N.C.—With the calendar turned to 2026, the top drivers in the Northeast await their chance to showcase their talents from April to October.

Stars in the DIRTcar 358 Modified Series, DIRTcar Sportsman Series, and DIRTcar Pro Stock Series will compete across New York, Vermont, and Canada this season, with stops along the way at marquee events like Super DIRT Week 54 and SummerFAST.

“The backbone of DIRTcar Northeast has been the DIRTcar 358, Sportsman and Pro Stock schedules,” said Dean Reynolds, DIRTcar Northeast series director. “Coming off some great momentum from 2025, we see more tracks and more races.  There was tremendous support in all the Series, and there was one constant sentiment echoed by the competitors: we want more.  The 2026 season is shaping up to be a lot of fun!”

DIRTcar 358 Modified Series

The tremendous growth of the 358 Modified class was on full display in 2025, as 232 drivers attempted to qualify for a Series event. And for the second straight season, the schedule continues its growth with 14 races on tap for the 2026 championship battle.

Among those 14 races are five new venues to the 2026 schedule, including the first stop in Vermont.

New Arenas

After battling at Can-Am Speedway to open the season, the first new venue is a return to Lebanon Valley Speedway, marking the first of three stops in New York’s Capital Region in 2026.

It’s the first time the Series will visit the “Valley of Speed” since 2007, when track legend Kenny Tremont took the checkered flag in the “Race of Kings.”

Following Lebanon Valley, drivers will make their first trip to the “Green Mountain State” with a stop at Devil’s Bowl Speedway in West Haven, VT. While there hasn’t been a Series race at the track, this will be the second year the 358 Modifieds are under the DIRTcar banner. Felix Roy – the 2024 Series champion – Mike Mahaney, and Payton Talbot each scored wins at the Vermont oval last season.

A return to New York’s Mohawk Valley is the third new stop for the Series at Utica-Rome Speedway. It’s the first stop at the Vernon, NY, track, which returns to the DIRTcar banner this season, since 2019. Series champions Mat Williamson and Erick Rudolph earned wins that season.

A visit to Ransomville Speedway in mid-August marks a return to the Western, NY track for the first time since 2016. That race was won by Ransomville’s own Rudolph, who went on to earn four victories that season.

The final new venue on the schedule is Mohawk International Raceway, which is part of the track’s weekend finale along with the DIRTcar Sportsman Championship Series and DIRTcar Pro Stock Series. Chris Raabe won the previous stop at Mohawk in 2022.

OCTOBER PRESTIGE

Even with 14 races on the DIRTcar 358 Modified Series schedule, the final two prestigious events in October will decide who takes home the Series championship in 2026.

The first of those two events is the Salute to the Troops 150 at Super DIRT Week 54 (Oct. 9), followed by Fall Nationals at Brockville Ontario Speedway (Oct. 17). Reigning Series champion Mat Williamson has won the last three Salute to the Troops 150s at Oswego Speedway and capped off his championship last season with a win at Brockville.

DIRTcar Sportsman Series

The DIRTcar Sportsman Series will continue its regional format in 2026, with four regional titles up for grabs. Each region will also offer valuable bonus points throughout the season that carry over to the DIRTcar Sportsman Championship Series, which begins in August.

Once the championship Series begins, it’s a 10-race battle to determine who wins the 2026 DIRTcar Sportsman championship.

All Eyes on Us

Drivers who follow the DIRTcar Sportsman Championship Series will again take part in 10 marquee events in the race to become the champion. It also means more eyes will be on the up-and-coming Sportsman stars, as five of the races will be televised on DIRTVision.

The first of those races is at Utica-Rome Speedway on Wednesday, Aug. 19, when the top Sportsman drivers join the Super DIRTcar Series at Utica-Rome Speedway for the final night of SummerFAST. They’ll also join the Super DIRTcar Series on Sunday, Sept. 6, for the prestigious Sportsman Classic at Weedsport Speedway and the R.D. Hutchinson Memorial at Can-Am.

One week later, the Series will be on DIRTVision again, as part of the Gerald Haers Memorial at Land of Legends Raceway on Saturday, Sept. 19.

The final race on DIRTVision will be the most significant race on the schedule, the Great Lakes 75 at Oswego Speedway during Super DIRT Week 54 (Oct. 10). The top Sportsman drivers in the Northeast will try to prevent Richard Murtaugh from earning back-to-back victories at the “Clay Palace.”

Along with those races on DIRTVision, the Sportsman will be part of three other weekends that showcase the Northeast Series. They’ll join the DIRTcar 358 Modified Series on three straight weekends with visits to Can-Am Speedway (Sept. 11), Mohawk International Weekend (Sept. 18), and Albany-Saratoga Speedway (Sept. 25), during Malta Massive Weekend.

The Series finishes off the season with a stop at Brockville, joining the DIRTcar 358 Modified Series again during Fall Nationals.

DIRTcar Pro Stock Series

Like the DIRTcar 358 Modified Series, the DIRTcar Pro Stock Series also saw continued growth in 2026. And this year, the top full-fender drivers in the Northeast will battle in a 13-race schedule, culminating at Super DIRT Week 54.

Within those 13 races are two new venues, giving drivers a challenge as they try to dethrone six-time champion Pete Stefanski.

What’s New

It won’t be long until the Series gets to battle at one of its two new venues. The opening round of the 2026 season is a visit to Utica-Rome on Sunday, April 26. The Spring event is the first time the Series has raced at the 1/2-mile oval since 2017, when Robbie Speed scored one of his two Series victories.

The other new track on the schedule is Airborne Park Speedway on Thursday, June 18. It’s the first stop at the Plattsburgh, NY venue since 2018, when former Series champion C.D. Beauchamp scored his second straight Series victory at the track.

Ending on the Biggest Stage

An end-of-the-year tradition will continue in 2026, with a champion being crowned on the biggest stage in the Northeast. The final event of the season will again be the I Love NY 50 at Oswego Speedway during Super DIRT Week 54 (Oct. 9).

Last year’s event saw five drivers enter the race with a chance to take home the 2026 championship, a race where Devon Camenga earned his first Super DIRT Week win, and Stefanski clinched his record-sixth title.
