Heavy Rain, Cool Temperatures Postpone Southern Indiana Showdown to Sunday
HAUBSTADT, Ind.—With heavy rainfall hitting Tri-State Speedway for several hours Saturday morning combined with cool temperatures leaving the track unable to be worked into suitable racing condition in time for the evening’s program, World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series and track officials have agreed to postpone the Southern Indiana Showdown to Sunday, April 19.
The pit gate will open at 2:00pm CT, the front gate will open at 3:30pm CT, and Race//Ready Hot Laps will fire off at 5:30pm CT on Sunday.
All tickets purchased for the Southern Indiana Showdown will be honored for Sunday’s event. Tickets will also be available at the gate.
David Gravel leads the standings with Carson Macedo, Buddy Kofoid, Donny Schatz, and Sheldon Haudenschild completing the top five.
