Rod End Supply Road to the Hockett opener Saturday night at Lucas Oil Speedway

WHEATLAND, MO.—The first steps on the new Rod End Supply "Road to the Hockett" take place this Saturday night at Lucas Oil Speedway, as drivers in participating open-wheel divisions begin a four-race points program and a coveted automatic bid into this fall’s 16th annual Jesse Hockett-Daniel McMillin Memorial.
The POWRi 410 Outlaw Sprint Series, POWRi WAR Sprints and the POWRi 305s and IMCA WOW 305 Sprints will be in action as a new concept starts to build momentum for the open-wheel major, Sept. 17-19.
The series will offer its own points fund for the three divisions and a champion’s provisional into the 2026 Hockett–McMillin Memorial for the POWRi 410s and WAR Sprints.
Other rounds on the Rod End Supply Road to the Hockett: Round 2 on June 27, Round 3 on Aug. 1 and Championship Night on Aug. 22.
All three division will compete for both cash and Lucas Oil Products rewards, with point fund payouts as follows:
1st – $1,000 plus $1,000 in products.
2nd – $750 plus $750 in products.
3rd – $500 plus $500 in products.
While it’s early in the season, early points leaders in the series are:

POWRi WAR (Wingless Auto Racing League) Sprints: Wesley Smith, Nixa.
POWRi WAR Sprint 305: Season opener

Saturday’s track schedule:
Pits and grandstands open - 4 p.m.
Driver registration: 4:15-5:30 p.m.
Drivers’ meeting: 5:45 p.m.
Hot laps - 6:30 p.m.
Racing to follow - Approximately 7 p.m.
Admission prices:
Adults (13 and over) - $25 ($27.50 online advance)
Seniors (62 and up)/Military with ID - $22 (24.25 online advance)
Youth (ages 6-12) - $10 ($12 online advance)
Kids (5-and-under) - FREE
Dress up, show out and save money: There will be a little extra fun throughout the Road to the Hockett Series with different theme nights for each. Round 1 on Saturday will be '80s Night with fans dressing in 1980s themed outfits getting $5 off general admission.
Other theme nights are Luau Night on June 27th, Super Hero Night on Aug. 1st and Wild, Wild West Night on Aug. 22nd.
Arrive early, get a hot dog: The first 250 adult or senior tickets will receive a FREE all‑beef hot dog coupon — valid the night of the event — courtesy of Lucas Cattle Company.
Beat the Heat Suite Special: Fans who would like to take in the action in temperature-controlled comfort with prime viewing can purchase a “Beat the Heat Suite” special for $50 apiece. The price includes indoor and outdoor seating, plus a personal suite host. Food and drink is not included in the price.
