Steady Rainfall Cancels Lakeside Speedway with POWRi 410 Outlaw Sprints; Saturday at Lucas Oil Speedway Still On
BELLEVILLE, Ill.—Heavy rainfall Thursday night into Friday morning, combined with already oversaturated facility grounds, has forced the cancellation of the scheduled event at Lakeside Speedway on Friday, June 26, featuring the POWRi Honest Abe Roofing 410 Outlaw Sprint League alongside weekly racing divisions.
It’s always frustrating to lose an event at a premier facility like Lakeside Speedway, especially with how competitive the racing has been this season. With a water-logged venue and an unstable forecast still in place, officials prioritized travel logistics for teams and fans in making the early cancellation decision.
The POWRi Honest Abe Roofing 410 Outlaw Sprints will return to Lakeside Speedway on Friday, August 22, for the Sunflower State Showcase. All presold tickets will be fully refunded through MyRacePass.
Championship focus now shifts to the “Diamond of Dirt Tracks” as the league turns its attention to the ‘Road to the Hockett’ Round 2 at Lucas Oil Speedway on Saturday, which remains on as scheduled.
Fans can catch every POWRi 410 Outlaw Sprint League event live and on demand via Start2Finish TV. For continued updates, race recaps, and full league standings, visit www.POWRi.com or follow @POWRi_Racing on social media.
