WHEATLAND, Mo.—Josh Sissom turned the Red 'N' Tacky Enduro 150 into a runaway Friday night at Lucas Oil Speedway.
Sissom, from Cape Girardeau, started 19th. He took the lead by lap 31 and held it the final 120 circuits to beat Dallas Butchee - the only other car on the lead lap - for the $1,500 victory in the annual marathon.
The winner wasted little time grabbing total command after passing Colton Joyner for the lead. The only question was if his car would hold up over the distance, and it did.
"These are so much. It's an affordable way to race for people who may not have the budgeting. We paid $500 for this car," Sissom said in victory lane. "Thanks to everybody for coming out. I know these are long and thanks to everybody for staying.
"It just worked out on our schedule. I normally race UMP Modifieds over in southeast Missouri. We got in a little trouble with the race track over there and we got to come do this."
Eighth-starting Colton Joyner and fourth-starting Jesse Brooks, the 2025 race winner, swapped the lead in the early going with Joyner holding a 2.5-second lead by lap 15. Josh Sissom, who started 19th, became the third leader on lap 31, taking the top spot away from Joyner.
Sissom rolled to a 5.3-second lead by lap 50 as Joyner remained in second and Dallas Butchee another 3.3 seconds back in third. By this point, only six cars were running on the lead lap.
The total of lead-lap cars was down to five as the race approached the halfway mark with Sissom continuing to cruise at the front, six seconds in from of Joyner receiving the halfway flags on lap 75. Butchee moved into second by lap 81, but was 11 seconds behind the leader.
Joyner continued to fade from contention with Brooks moving into third, Brandon Vink fourth and Jason Novak fifth by lap 90.
Sissom’s gap was a race-high 14.1 seconds over Butchee as he passed the 100-lap mark and the only remaining mystery was if his car could hold together for another 50 laps. Those two were the only cars on the lead lap and more than half of the 30-car starting field had retired as the clock struck midnight.
Butchee started to cut into Sissom’s lead over the final 20 laps, but it wasn’t enough to threaten Sissom took the checkers 11.788 seconds in front in a race that took 56 minutes, 40 seconds to complete.
Novak, who started 16th, was three laps down to finish third with Brooks fourth and Eric Lampe fifth.
A total of 133 cars checked into the pits, including 59 Midwest Mods, in the special Friday Night Frenzy program.
Ewing earns Super Stocks win: Blaine Ewing of Green Ridge, Mo., started on the pole and led every circuit in capturing his second Hickamo Super Stocks feature win of the season, outdistancing runner-up Johnny Fennewald.
As Ewing blazed the early pace, Terry Schultz and Fennewald swapped the runner-up spot on a lap-four restart and again three laps later with Ewing holding a half-second edge over Schulz. Ewing increased his margin to 2.3-seconds over Fennewald when caution flew again on lap 13.
Ewing, who also won at Wheatland on June 20th, held on to win his fifth overall feature in 2026, beating Fennewald by 2.9 seconds. Jacob Rexing rallied from 12th to third with Aaron Poe fourth and Mike Striegel fifth.
Midwest Mods: Brian Meyer of Concordia, Mo., held off Tyler Knudtson of Lebanon throughout the 20-lap Midwest Mods feature, earning his second overall win of the season.
Front-row starters Meyer and Knudtson ran 1-2 from the start, though Meyer never was able to make it a comfortable drive to victory. Meyer edged away to a half-second lead when action slowed for a caution on lap eight.
Blake Ellis worked his way from 14th at the start to third by the mid point on lap 10 as Meyer and Knudtson continued to set the pace. As the race entered the final five laps, the top two continued to battle, but Meyer was up to the challenge, holding off his pursuer for the entire 20 laps.
Meyer won by .617 seconds over Knudtson with Ellis third, Logan Roark fourth and David Wood finishing fifth.
Stovall's late pass earns Legends win: Jett Stovall, a 15-year-old from Billings, took the lead with two laps remaining and held on to capture his first win of 2026 and first ever at Lucas Oil Speedway in the Legends main event.
Cale Riggs, a 19-year-old from Hatch, N.M., grabbed the lead on lap two after pole-starting David Lawson paced the opening circuit. Stovall soon moved into third with Riggs maintaining a one-second lead by lap 10.
Riggs’ lead was down to a half-second when caution on lap 12 bunched the field for a three-lap shootout. Stovall took the lead after the restart and beat Chance Gilbert by a half-second for the win as Riggs slipped to third on the final lap.
Austin Azeez finished fourth with Lawson fifth.
