T Hibmer, Cadwallader, Kreisel, Cordray among I-35 Winners on Kaster Family Night

(Winston, MO) -- We came together to celebrate one of the families that started it all at I-35 Speedway, the Kaster family with our annual Triple H Realty Kaster Celebration. Fans packed the stands as 120 (one hundred and twenty) race cars took to the track to bring the exciting action that only the drivers of I-35 Speedway can provide, and that excitement brought some new winners in 2023.

We started off in the E-Mod division with Adam Dunwoodie, the current points leader, picking up his seventh victory of 2023. Dunwoodie had to hold of a stout field of competitors that included a former champion and feature winner Shaunie Lanning. Lanning put the pressure on finishing second, George Burnett stayed in the top five all night long finishing third, Aaron Jones challenged for the lead early as he finished fourth and Tony Layne had another top five as he came home fifth.

The Pure Stocks started out with Evan Rhea taking the lead at the drop of the green flag and leading the first circuit. Mike Miller found his line and took the lead coming out of turn four on lap two and led the next four laps until the points leader Jeffrey Sears got by. Sears would lead the next fours laps but Miller wasn’t going to be denied and he slipped back by Sears and led the final four laps picking up his first win at I-35 Speedway. Sears would finish second, Jon Boller Jr would have another top three finishing third, followed by good runs in fourth and fifth by Anthony Whitham and Matthew Matsukevich.

Tommy Cordray picked up his first feature win of the season in the Midwest Limited Late Models. Cordray would get by then race leader and points leader Houston Johnson seven laps in and lead the final thirteen laps enroute to the victory. Johnson would finish second, Jimmy Dowell third, newcomer JR Rowland finished fourth and Harold Robb Jr fifth.

Stanley Kreisel picked up his first Poweri Midwest Lightning Sprint win of the season at I-35 Speedway. Kreisel got out front from the drop of the green flag and held off two time winner Trice Roden who finished second. Third went to JP Falke, fourth to Tyler Johnson and Kenny Bowers rounded out the top five.

Tyler Cadwallader visited McCarthy Autogroup Victory Lane for the third time this season winning in USRA B-Mod feature. Cadwallader held off numerous challenges from Chris Wright who unfortunately had to retire from the event. Corey Myers the current points leader charged up to second after battling all race long with Lonnie Hibner, Eddie Ingram Jr and Kyle Henning who finished third through fifth.

Jeff Dixon is no stranger to McCarthy Autogroup Victory Lane in past seasons. The current Medieval USRA Stock Car points leader at I-35 Speedway had yet to pick up his first win of the season coming in to tonight. Dixon finally parked his number 88 machine as he picked up his first win of the season leading all fifteen circuits. Derrick Brown put the pressure on Dixon as he flew around the top side of the track pulling even with Dixon numerous times but was unable to make the pass. Brown finished second, Anthony Robertson continued his strong season in third, Brandon Dixon continues to prove he belongs in the USRA Stock Car division as he battled for the lead early but finished fourth and Jayden Bears rallied to finish fifth.

Tyler Hibner continues his torrid pace as he picked up his seventh win in the USRA Modifieds, his fifth in a row. Hibner slipped passed early leader Darren Shaw and led the remaining laps. Points leader Houston Johnson raced his way up to finish second, Lee Hibner was third and after a great bumper to bumper battle Richard Layne was fourth and Steven Glenn fifth. Jory Stotts continues to figure out his new car as he started last and finished sixth.

Brad Mick had to start tenth on the grid as he won the previous three features and he would motor his way up to pick up his seventh feature win of the season in the Sport Compact division. Harold Robb Jr let early and finished second, Chris Wright also led at one point as he finished third, Jonnathon Hartman was fourth and Scott Beagle fifth.

Brycen Bouzek picked up win number four as he visited McCarthy Autogroup Victory Lane in the Jr Sport Compact class. Last week’s feature winner Payton Hanes finished second, Grant Sheetz was third, Katelynn Fleming finished fourth and Maddy Barr fifth.

Congratulations to this weeks fan of the week Brian Senecal sponsored by Kever Racing, JDB Racing Videography and Design, Reed/Anderson Racing, Fleming Racing, Chasity Younger Racing and the Bud Wilson Family.

Join us next week for Tompkins Industries night with the Vintage Open and more great racing action as only I-35 Speedway can provide.
